Broncos' Kareem Jackson: Seven tackles in blowout
Jackson registered seven tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 70-20 loss to the Dolphins.
Jackson tied with Jonathon Cooper and Zach Allen in tackles on a day when the Broncos' defense gave up an NFL-record 726 yards and 10 touchdowns to the Dolphins. Jackson will look to help dig Denver out of its 0-3 hole in Week 4 as they take on the Bears in Chicago.

Broncos' Kareem Jackson: Likely taking over as starter
Jackson is expected to start at safety for Denver in the absence of Caden Sterns (knee), Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports.
Jackson stepped in after Sterns suffered a potential season-ending knee injury during the Broncos' Week 1 loss to Las Vegas, and the 35-year-old is the frontrunner to start at strong safety for the remainder of the year. Throughout the veteran's 14-year career, he's racked up 905 tackles, including 30 tackles for loss, and 21 interceptions over 194 appearances.

Jackson registered four solo tackles, one pass deflection and one interception in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Raiders.
Jackson's interception came in the third quarter after a pass intended for running back Ameer Abdullah in the end zone was broken up by linebacker Alex Singleton. It was Jackson's first interception since 2021 after being shut out across 17 games last season. The Broncos will look for their first win of the season as they welcome the Commanders on Sunday.

Broncos' Kareem Jackson: Sets career high in stops
Jackson made a career-high 94 tackles (55 solo) to go with three passes defended and two fumble recoveries while playing all 17 games of the 2022 season.
Jackson finished third in tackles among Broncos' defenders, showing that he could still make an impact as part of a strong defensive unit. Despite setting a career high in tackles, the veteran safety is not quite the difference-maker in the passing game that he once was. After racking up 10 passes defended in his first season with the Broncos in 2019, Jackson has totaled just nine passes defended over the last three seasons combined. The 34-year-old is set to become a free agent in 2023, so Denver will have to decide if it wants to stick with Jackson as a veteran presence or move on. Either way, Jackson could be an interesting player to target in 2023 for teams seeking experience in their defensive backfield on what would likely be a short-term deal.

Broncos' Kareem Jackson: Tallies 10 tackles
Jackson recorded 10 tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 34-28 loss to the Chiefs.
Jackson's 10 tackles were tied with linebacker Josey Jewell for the most of any Broncos defender Sunday. Through 13 games, the veteran safety has totaled 75 tackles, good for the third-most tackles for Denver's formidable defense. Jackson will look to build upon this solid performance when the Broncos host the Cardinals in Week 15.
