Ranta was reassigned to AHL Colorado following Saturday's 4-1 win over the Stars.
Ranta had four hits in the win, but he's gone without a point in three NHL contests. The 22-year-old will likely be back up with the Avalanche in the near future as they continue to make paper moves with their fourth-liners.
