Ranta was recalled from AHL Colorado Saturday, per Peter Baugh of The Athletic.
Ranta was held scoreless in five contests earlier this season. He could enter the lineup in a fourth-line role Saturday against the Senators. The 22-year-old winger had five goals and five assists in 26 games in the AHL this season.
