Ranta was reassigned to AHL Colorado following Saturday's 7-0 win over the Senators.
With injuries and cap space remaining concerns, it appears the Avalanche may be forced to juggle some depth players to make things work. Don't be surprised if Ranta is called up again prior to Monday's game versus the Red Wings.
