The 19-year-old has been during his rookie campaign in 2023-24, picking up two goals and seven points in 25 games. Per Mark Lazerus of The Athletic, Korchinski is away from the team due to a family matter and there is currently no timetable in place for a return. Chicago brought up Isaak Phillips from AHL Rockford on Saturday in a corresponding move.

The youngster has averaged 18:58 of ice time this year and has earned himself a spot on the second power-play unit.
