Kerfoot scored a goal Thursday in a 3-2 loss to the Panthers in Game 2. Kerfoot put the Leafs up 1-0 at 2:20 of the first period by stuffing in a rebound at the top of the crease. It was his second goal of the postseason. Kerfoot registered one shot and one hit in 11:14 after skating under 10 minutes in Game 1.... See More ... See Less

Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Scores overtime winner in Game 4
Kerfoot provided the overtime winner on the power play in Toronto's 5-4 victory over Tampa Bay in Game 4 on Monday. Kerfoot hadn't registered a point over his last eight contests, including the first three outings of this series, but he came through when it mattered most. All the same, he shouldn't be counted on to make regular offensive contributions. Even with Monday's game going into overtime, Kerfoot logged just 12:22 of ice time. During the 2022-23 campaign, he had 10 goals and 32 points in 82 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Scores in win
Kerfoot scored a goal on his lone shot in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Blue Jackets. Kerfoot gave Toronto a 2-1 lead in the second period, poking home a rebound off a Nick Abruzzese shot. Overall, it's been a slow year for Kerfoot offensively, but he's been fairly productive of late, tallying three goals and four points in his last seven games. The 28-year-old center has 10 goals and 22 assists through 77 games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Scores goal vs. Nashville
Kerfoot provided a goal in Toronto's 3-2 win over Nashville on Sunday. Kerfoot ended a 25-game goal-scoring drought when he found the back of the net Thursday, and he's now tallied two markers over his last three contests. His latest goal came early in the second period to extend Toronto's lead to 2-0. Kerfoot's up to nine markers and 30 points in 73 outings this season, though that's well below his 2021-22 finish of 13 goals and 51 points.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Ends 25-game goal drought
Kerfoot scored a goal Thursday in a 6-2 win over the Panthers. Kerfoot popped the puck between Sergei Bobrovsky's pads from the slot after a sweet feed from John Tavares. It was his first goal since Jan. 17, ending a 25-game goal drought.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Records assist Monday
Kerfoot registered an assist against the Sabres on Monday. Kerfoot may have ended his eight-game point slump, but he still hasn't found the back of the net in 21 consecutive contests. During his goal drought, Kerfoot has managed just 32 shots, including recording zero shots in three of his last six games. Despite his lack of production, Kerfoot has continued to feature in a top-six role.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Garners another apple in loss
Kerfoot supplied an assist in Friday's 6-2 loss to the Senators. Kerfoot has been productive with three assists over the last five games, but it will take more than that to appease fantasy managers deploying Kerfoot in deeper leagues. As a bottom-six pivot, Kerfoot is averaging just 14:36 of ice time, and he hasn't been a part of the power play in 2023.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Goals in consecutive contests
Kerfoot scored a goal on three shots in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Coyotes. Kerfoot put the Maple Leafs ahead 3-2 in the second period, but that's where their offense ended, while the Coyotes rallied in the third. Kerfoot has scored in consecutive contests, and he's up to five goals and two helpers through 11 games in December. For the season, the versatile forward has six tallies, 17 points, 64 shots, 16 PIM and a plus-9 rating through 36 outings.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Scores short-handed goal
Kerfoot scored a goal on four shots in the Maple Leafs' 5-4 overtime win over the Blues on Tuesday. Kerfoot tapped home a feed from Calle Jarnkrok while short-handed to extend the Maple Leafs' lead to 3-1. This performance snapped a two-game pointless streak for the Canadian forward. On the season, Kerfoot has five goals and 16 points in 35 games.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Scores twice in win
Kerfoot scored a pair of goals in Tuesday's 7-0 win over Anaheim. Kerfoot opened the scoring two minutes into the game Tuesday, beating John Gibson with a one-timer from the right circle. He'd add a second goal in a similar fashion early in the third. Kerfoot now has three goals and an assist in his last four contests. The 28-year-old forward is up to four goals and 10 assists through 30 games while playing a bottom-six role for Toronto.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Earns power-play helper
Kerfoot notched a power-play assist in Thursday's 5-0 win over the Kings. Kerfoot contributed a secondary apple on the game's first goal. The third-line pivot has really picked up the pace offensively, as evidenced by a goal and four assists over his last five games. He's probably not on the radar in most fantasy leagues as the owner of 12 points (two goals, 10 assists) through 28 games, but Kerfoot is a decent streaming option amidst the hot streak.... Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Ends goal drought
Kerfoot scored an empty-net goal and blocked three shots in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Stars. The Stars pulled Jake Oettinger down three goals in the third period, but the strategy didn't pay off for anyone but Kerfoot. It was the 28-year-old forward's first tally since Oct. 20, a span of 21 games in which he picked up a decent eight assists. Kerfoot has 11 points, 39 shots on net, 18 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating through 27 contests, serving mainly in a middle-six role as a two-way forward.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Collects two helpers in win
Kerfoot was credited with two assists during Wednesday's 3-1 victory over the visiting Sharks. Kerfoot, who has gone goalless in 20 outings, earned his second multi-point game this season Wednesday. In the absence of scoring goals consistently, the 28-year-old forward is starting to contribute in other ways, producing three helpers during the past two appearances. Kerfoot shared the team lead with a plus-2 rating and added two shots as the Maple Leafs have gone 8-0-2 in their past 10 outings.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Secures helper as Leafs tame Devils
Kerfoot registered an assist in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Devils. Kerfoot supplied the primary assist on Pontus Holmberg's first career goal, which held up as the game winner and snapped the Devils' 13-game winning streak. Still, fantasy managers depending on Kerfoot would like to see more of his shots brush twine; he's scored just once on 32 shots for a 3.19 shooting percentage and his six apples haven't been enough to compensate for the lack of lamp lighting.... Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Shines in top-line twirl
Kerfoot registered two assists in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Sharks. Kerfoot was promoted to the top line to spark Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner, and it worked. The 28-year-old Kerfoot also got his own offense going with his first multi-point effort of the campaign. The Canadian winger has a goal, three helpers, 11 shots on net, six PIM and a plus-2 rating in eight contests. With the success of the top line Thursday, head coach Sheldon Keefe may opt to keep Kerfoot with his star linemates for a bit longer.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Centering third line
Kerfoot has one assist in four games this season. Kerfoot is centering the third line with Pierre Engvall and Calle Jarnkrok on his wings. This trio is a pesky speed-based line that will be a bother to opponents, but likely deliver much offense for fantasy managers. However, Kerfoot did practise on the second power-play unit at Wednesday's scrimmage, so he could see a slight uptick in value.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Snags assist in win
Kerfoot produced an assist and four blocked shots in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Islanders. Kerfoot found Pierre Engvall for a goal at 10:49 of the second period. The 27-year-old Kerfoot has been bounced around the lineup a bit lately, but he saw second-line usage Sunday with Auston Matthews (undisclosed) sidelined. Kerfoot's up to 50 points for the first time in his five-year career, and he's added 69 hits, 63 blocked shots and a plus-19 rating in 76 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Ice time questions
Kerfoot's ice time dropped to 10:10 Thursday against the Capitals. He was at practice Friday, so it wasn't injury related. Kerfoot had been seeing 14-15 minutes of ice time a game and has recently been skating with William Nylander. And prior to Thursday, he had a point in each of his previous two games. Kerfoot is sitting with a career-best 49 points (74 games), and despite the many fan tirades about his game, he has contributed to the team's on-ice success. For fantasy, he doesn't get power-play time and doesn't cover many categories, but a 50-point winger is valuable in many formats.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Big three-point effort in OT loss
Kerfoot had a goal and two assists in a 5-4 overtime loss to Arizona on Thursday. Kerfoot is on the doorstep of a new career-best in points. He now has 10 goals and 42 points in just 58 games. His career mark is 43 set in his rookie season (2017-18). Kerfoot is prolific 5-on-5 and doesn't deliver much by way of category coverage. But any guy flirting with a possible 60-point season should get fantasy consideration.... See More ... See Less -
Maple Leafs' Alex Kerfoot: Nets go-ahead goal
Kerfoot scored a goal on two shots in Monday's 5-4 win over the Blue Jackets. Jack Roslovic tied the game for the Blue Jackets early in the third period, but Kerfoot provided a quick response to give the Maple Leafs the lead again. This ended Kerfoot's four-game goal drought, though he had three assists in that stretch. The 27-year-old forward has seen his role reduced since Nick Robertson joined the lineup. Kerfoot's at 39 points, 80 shots on net, 46 hits and a plus-13 rating through 56 contests, and he's still on pace to challenge his career high of 43 points from 2017-18.... See More ... See Less
