Buccaneers' Nick Leverett: Signs tender with Bucs
Leverett signed his exclusive rights tender with the Buccaneers on Monday, which means he has recovered from his knee injury, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Leverett will remain in Tampa Bay for the 2023 season after gaining medical clearance and signing his tender as an exclusive rights free agent. The offensive guard started 10 games last season but missed Tampa Bay's playoff loss to the Cowboys due to the now-healed knee issue.

The Buccaneers extended the tender offer to Leverett (knee) on Friday, per the team's official site.
Leverett is now set to become an exclusive rights free agent, so he'll ultimately remain with Tampa Bay in 2023 because he's now unable to negotiate with other NFL teams following Friday's transaction. The 26-year-old guard started for the Buccaneers throughout all of their final 10 games this past campaign, and he's currently in line to block for a new signal caller this season given Tom Brady's recent retirement.

Leverett was limited by a knee injury during practice Thursday and sat out Friday's and Saturday's sessions due to this issue. As a result, the 26-year-old will be forced to miss this home playoff matchup against the Cowboys' dangerous pass rush. In his stead, rookie Luke Goedeke is the top candidate to start at left guard Monday night, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.

Leverett (shoulder) was diagnosed Sunday with an AC joint injury following X-rays and has avoided a long-term injury, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Leverett suffered the injury during Saturday's preseason finale. Per Wilson, the injury is expected to be manageable moving forward, so it's possible Leverett will be available for Week 1.

Leverett was ruled out after suffering a shoulder injury during Saturday's preseason finale, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
The interior offensive lineman was filling for starting left guard Aaron Stinnie, who suffered a season-ending knee injury earlier this week. The exact severity and nature of Leverett's injury are still unknown, though another significant injury along the Buccaneers' depleted offensive line would be a major issue heading into the team's Week 1 matchup with the Cowboys on Sept. 11.

Buccaneers' Nick Leverett: Candidate to replace Stinnie
Leverett is likely to compete with rookie Luke Goedeke for the starting left guard job in the wake of Aaron Stinnie's season-ending knee injury, Scott Smith of the team's official site reports.
Stinnie suffered a tear of both the ACL and MCL in his left knee in Saturday night's preseason loss to the Titans, making him the second Buccaneers starting offensive lineman to go down this summer following center Ryan Jensen's own knee injury suffered on the second day of training camp. Leverett did gain some experience as a rookie in 2021, logging a total of 69 snaps from scrimmage across two regular-season games and one playoff contest. The Rice product also drew the start at left guard in the preseason-opening loss to the Dolphins and certainly has at least an edge in experience over Goedeke, who played right tackle in college and was guilty of a pair of holding penalties and a sack against Tennessee.
