Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Still in protocol, will practice
Coach Mike McDaniel said Friday that Waddle remains in the concussion protocol but will practice in some capacity, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.
Waddle is making tangible progress through the NFL's five-step concussion protocol, but he will need to attain full clearance in order to suit up for Sunday's contest against the Broncos. Based on his return to practice Friday, though, he at least has a chance to be back on the field Week 3. If Waddle can't go this weekend, Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft and Erik Ezukanma will see added opportunities behind Tyreek Hill.

Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Not seen at practice Thursday
Waddle (concussion) wasn't spotted at practice Thursday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Waddle didn't practice Wednesday either, but he still has time to progress through the NFL's five-step concussion protocol ahead of Sunday's game against the Broncos. What the wideout is able to do Friday will thus be telling with regard to his chances of playing Week 3, but if Waddle doesn't gain clearance to suit up, added opportunities behind Tyreek Hill would be available for Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft and Erik Ezukanma.

Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Not being rushed through protocol
Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Wednesday that he's "not really worried about the timeline" of Waddle progressing through the NFL's five-step concussion protocol, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.
Waddle didn't practice Wednesday but did participate in team stretches, according to Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network. He will have two more chances to take the practice field before receiving a game designation for Sunday's matchup against the Broncos, but Waddle looks uncertain to clear the protocol in time for the Week 3 matchup. If Waddle is ruled out this weekend, there will be an opportunity for Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft and Erik Ezukanma to step up behind top wideout Tyreek Hill.

Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Not ready to practice
Waddle (concussion) isn't practicing Wednesday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Waddle entered concussion protocol toward the end of Sunday's 24-17 win over the Patriots. He'll have two more chances to practice before the Dolphins host the Broncos this Sunday, with his status looming especially large given Miami's lack of pass-catching depth behind the tremendous duo of Waddle and Tyreek Hill.

Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Progressing through protocol
Coach Mike McDaniel said Waddle was "progressing" through the concussion protocol as of Monday afternoon, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Waddle left Sunday night's game late in the second half after being hit in the head by Patriots linebacker Marte Mapu, which resulted in a penalty. The star wideout was eventually escorted to the locker room and never returned to the contest. It's unclear what exactly McDaniel's comments mean, but fantasy managers should get more clarity Wednesday when Miami has to release its first injury report of Week 3.
