The Falcons waived Reid on Wednesday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Reid signed with the Falcons in January after spending time with Titans last season but will now head back to free agency if he clears waivers. Titans' John Reid: Sitting against Houston
Reid (coach's decision) is inactive for Saturday's game against the Texans, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Reid joined the Titans Dec. 6 and has been active in two games since. However, with Tre Avery's (concussion) return, Reid has lost his role in the Tennessee secondary.... See More ... See Less -
Titans' John Reid: Signs with Titans
The Titans signed Reid to their active roster off the Falcons practice squad Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. While Tennessee cornerbacks Caleb Farley (back), Kristian Fulton (groin), Elijah Molden (groin) and Chris Jackson (undisclosed) are all currently nursing injuries, the team brought in Reid from Atlanta's practice squad Tuesday for some extra secondary insurance. The 26-year-old has yet to suit up for an NFL game this season after having played a combined 24 games for Houston and Seattle across the last two campaigns.... See More ... See Less -
John Reid: Finds work in Atlanta
The Falcons signed Reid to their practice squad Tuesday. Reid is now slated to serve as one of Atlanta's emergency depth options following Tuesday's transaction. The 2020 fourth-round draft pick suffered a groin strain earlier this year during the Seahawks' training camp, and he was subsequently placed on IR and eventually let go by Seattle in October. Now that Reid's back in action, it can be assumed that the groin issue is behind him.... See More ... See Less -
John Reid: Let go from IR
Reid (groin) was cut from the Seahawks' injured reserve Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports. Reid appeared set to sit out the entirety of the 2022 campaign after being placed on injured reserve in late August with a groin strain. The third-year cornerback, who recorded 12 tackles and two passes defended over 11 games with Seattle last season, now will be free to pursue a contract elsewhere once he gets healthy again.... Seahawks' John Reid: Out for Sunday
Reid (concussion) is out for Sunday against the Cardinals, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Reid left early in Week 17 against the Lions with the injury. Seahawks' John Reid: Leaves with injury
Reid (head) is being evaluated for a concussion and is questionable to return Sunday against the Lions, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Reid has worked his way up the Seahawks' positional depth chart the last couple of weeks, drawing the start Sunday with Sidney Jones in COVID protocols. If Reid is unable to return, Mike Jackson will continue to see extra opportunity.... See More ... See Less -
Seahawks' John Reid: Full participant Wednesday
Reid (knee) was listed as a full participant for the Seahawks' practice Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Reid has played in only two games so far this season after getting promoted from Seattle's practice squad early in September. The cornerback has played a majority of his snaps this season on special teams, so expect Reid to continue to fill a depth role for Seattle's secondary.... See More ... See Less -
Seahawks' John Reid: Not playing Monday
Reid (knee) is inactive for Monday's game versus New Orleans. Reid was questionable for Monday's contest but won't be available due to the shoulder injury. The 25-year-old has been a healthy scratch for all but two games this season, so he may not have suited up even if fully healthy.... See More ... See Less -
Texans' John Reid: Won't travel to Windy City
Reid (neck) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Bears. The rookie fourth-round pick will be inactive for the second time this season. Through 11 games, Reid has mostly contributed on special teams, but his absence will deplete the team's secondary depth, as the Texans also will be without Phillip Gaines (knee/shoulder) and Bradley Robey (suspension).... Mark Craig@markcraignfl01/01/1970Andy Reid trades Tyreek Hill, gets a nice haul in return AND THEN his offense gets even greater AND THEN he reaches the Super Bowl with eight rookies among his 22 active defenders today. And he's a guy no one ever mentions for coach of the year. Ever. That's being a great coach.
