Johnson (forearm) is questionable to face the Jets on Monday.
Johnson was also given a tag of questionable last week, but he didn't end up playing against Houston. The cornerback hasn't suited up since Week 1, when he hurt his forearm in the first half against Arizona. Johnson managed a trio of limited practices this week to give himself a decent chance of suiting up on Monday Night Football.

Johnson has missed three straight games due to a forearm injury, but he'll have a chance to retake the field versus Houston on Sunday. The veteran cornerback returned as a limited practice participant Week 5 after having been listed as a non-participant from Week 2 through Week 4.

Johnson (forearm) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's injury report.
Johnson's participation during practice is a step in the right direction, as he had been logging DNPs since suffering the injury in Week 1. He'll work to ramp up his activity level Thursday or Friday and ultimately increase his chances of suiting up Sunday against the Texans.

Head coach Sean McDermott is not sure if Johnson (forearm) will return to practice this week, Maddy Glab of the Bills' official site reports.
Johnson hasn't played or practiced since suffering the injury early in the team's Week 1 win over the Cardinals. Considering Johnson has managed to avoid an IR stint, it seems like his return will come sooner rather than later, but he'll definitely need to get on the practice field at some point this week if he's going to suit up Sunday against the Texans.

Bills' Taron Johnson: Not playing Week 4
Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Johnson (forearm) will not play in Sunday's game against the Ravens, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
Johnson injured his forearm in the Bills' Week 1 win over the Cardinals and will miss a third straight game. Despite Johnson's multi-week absence, McDermott said that he's optimistic that the slot corner won't require a stint on injured reserve, per Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News. Johnson's next chance to play will arrive Week 5 against the Texans on Oct. 6.

Bills' Taron Johnson: Looks to avoid IR status
Head coach Sean McDermott said Johnson's forearm injury is "still new," but the hope is that he'll be back in time to avoid an injured-reserve list appearance, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports.
Johnson's return date is unknown, but this news does mean he'll likely be back within the next four weeks. The veteran cornerback's inactive status should continue to give more playing time to Cam Lewis in the slot corner spot, as it has in the first two weeks of play.

Bills' Taron Johnson: Ruled out for Week 2
Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Johnson (forearm) will not play Thursday against the Dolphins, Ryan O'Halloran of The Buffalo News reports.
Johnson left Sunday's 34-28 win over the Cardinals early and was unable to return. It's not clear how much time the slot cornerback may miss, but the Bills won't take any chances with Johnson on a short week. Cam Lewis took over as slot corner following Johnson's departure Sunday and will likely do so again in Miami.

Bills' Taron Johnson: Out for game
Johnson (forearm) is out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
The slot cornerback left the game in the first half after making one tackle. Johnson started all 17 regular-season games for the Bills in 2023, recording 98 tackles, eight passes defensed and three forced fumbles. Brandon Codrington, Kaiir Elam and Ja'Marcus Ingram are Buffalo's backup corners.

Bills' Taron Johnson: Misses Thursday's practice
Johnson sat out Thursday's practice session due to a sore quad, Alec White of the Bills' official site reports.
Coach Sean McDermott called it more of a "preventative measure" in his comments Thursday. With the team planning on resting most of its starters in the preseason finale Saturday, the next time we see the versatile Johnson may be in Week 1 against the Cardinals. Johnson, one of the league's more underrated secondary players, appeared in all 17 regular-season games last season and posted a career-high 98 tackles, his third NFL campaign with 90-plus stops.
