  • Panthers' A'Shawn Robinson: Signing with Carolina

The Panthers and Robinson have agreed to terms on a three-year, $22.5 million contract, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Turning 29 later this month, Robinson is coming off a one-year stint with the Giants in which he appeared in all 17 games, finishing with 62 tackles (34 solo) and two pass deflections while playing 46 percent of the team's defensive snaps. In Carolina, Robinson reunites with DC Ejiro Evero after both were with the Rams when they won the Super Bowl in 2021. Robinson will team up with Derrick Brown on the Panthers' defensive line.

  • Giants' A'Shawn Robinson: Tallies 62 tackles in 2023

Robinson finished the campaign with 62 tackles (34 solo) and two defensed passes over 17 games. Robinson's 62 stops marked the second-highest single-season total of his career, and he didn't miss a game for the second time in the past three seasons. His playing time picked up after New York traded Leonard Williams to Seattle at the end of October, and Robinson registered eight tackles -- a season-high mark -- in each of the Giants' two games following their Week 13 bye. The contract he signed to come to New York last April was a one-year deal; he probably won't carry a hefty price tag in free agency, though the Giants could decide to move on in favor of younger talent.

  • Giants' A'Shawn Robinson: Upgrades to limited work

Robinson (back) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports. Robinson was able to play through his back issue Christmas Day, but it still seems as if this injury is bothering him, as he's opened the Giants' week of practice with an estimated DNP on Wednesday followed by a limited session Thursday. The 28-year-old defensive tackle will almost certainly carry an injury designation into New York's Week 17 affair unless he's able to practice in full Friday.

  • Giants' A'Shawn Robinson: Good to go versus Packers

Robinson (hamstring) is listed as active for Monday's game against Green Bay, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Robinson is officially good to go versus Green Bay despite dealing with a hamstring injury earlier in the week. With Dexter Lawrence (hamstring) also set to play Monday, the Giants should be fully healthy along the defensive line.

  • Giants' A'Shawn Robinson: Participating in individual drills

Robinson (knee) took part in defensive lineman drills Sunday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports. Robinson, who's recovering from a torn meniscus injury from November, was placed on the active/PUP list Tuesday. Now that he's taking part in individual drills, Robinson has presumably been activated off the PUP list and should work his way to being a full participant soon.

  • Giants' A'Shawn Robinson: Agrees to deal with Big Blue

Robinson (knee) agreed to terms on a one-year, $8 million deal with the Giants on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Robinson is still recovering from a torn meniscus he suffered in late November last year, but it appears the Giants are confident he can return to full strength during the 2023 campaign. The 2016 second-round pick has been a quality depth piece since entering the NFL, and if healthy, he should play a prominent role along New York's defense line next season.

  • Rams' A'Shawn Robinson: Officially placed on IR

The Rams moved Robinson (knee) to the reserve/injured list Saturday. This move was fully expected, as Robinson was diagnosed with a torn meniscus and ruled out for the season earlier in the week. The veteran played in 10 games prior to the injury, totaling 42 tackles (22 solo). Marquise Copeland could be the primary recipient of additional snaps in Robinson's absence.

  • Rams' A'Shawn Robinson: Questionable to return Sunday

Robinson exited with a knee injury during Sunday's game against the Saints. Robinson recorded three tackles before he was forced out during the first half, though the nature of this issue is still unclear. The starting defensive end recorded 39 tackles, over the first nine games of the season, and his absence will leave Marquise Copeland and Michael Hoecht to step up into bigger roles against New Orleans.

  • Rams' A'Shawn Robinson: Undergoes minor surgery

Coach Sean McVay said Thursday that Robinson (knee) will undergo a "minor procedure" and will miss "the next few weeks," Kevin Modesti of the Los Angeles Daily News reports. Robinson missed the first eight games of the 2020 campaign with an undisclosed non-football injury and appears to be at risk of missing the opening game of the 2021 season as well. He primarily played a reserve role for Los Angeles last year, but with Michael Brockers now in Detroit, he was in line for an increased workload this season. If the 2016 second-round pick is unable to suit up for the Sept. 12 regular-season opener, then Eric Banks and Earnest Brown would be the most likely candidates to replace him as the starter.

  • Rams' A'Shawn Robinson: Won't play Sunday

Robinson (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game at Miami, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports. The 25-year-old was activated from the nonfootball injury list Friday after missing the first seven weeks of the season due to his cardiovascular condition, but he won't immediately be taking the field for the Rams. Robinson will have to wait until Week 10 to make his debut in Los Angeles with the bye on tap next week.

  • Rams' A'Shawn Robinson: Joins Rams

Robinson (shoulder) agreed Wednesday with the Rams on a two-year contract worth $17 million, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Robinson will move on from Detroit after four years with the club, culminating in a 2019 season in which he finished with 40 tackles, 1.5 sacks and three pass breakups over 13 games. Given the Rams' financial commitment, Robinson should at the very least be a key rotational piece along the defensive line in 2020, if not a full-time starter.

  • Lions' A'Shawn Robinson: Missing more time

Robinson (shoulder) won't suit up in Sunday's season finale against Green Bay, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports. John Atkins and Frank Herron are expected to see an uptick in defensive tackle snaps against the Packers on Sunday.

  • Lions' A'Shawn Robinson: Can't practice Wednesday

Robinson (shoulder) did not take part in Wednesday's practice, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. Robinson missed every day of practice a week ago and did not play versus the Buccanneers. He begins Week 16 with a DNP and appears in danger of missing a second straight week. If Robinson can log even limited reps in the coming days, it'll go a long way in convincing prospective fantasy owners that he'll be ready to take the field Sunday.

  • Lions' A'Shawn Robinson: Leaves game Sunday

Robinson (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against Minnesota. Robinson exits the game in the second quarter right before halftime, but the specifics of the injury are unclear. • Lions' A'Shawn Robinson: Managing thumb injury

Robinson suffered a thumb injury in Sunday's game against Chicago, which limited him, Kyle Meinke of mlive.com reports. Robinson made only two solo tackles in the game and could have the thumb injury to blame for his lack of production. It's unclear how serious the issue is, but it will be important to monitor his practice availability heading into Week 11. If he can't go, Kevin Strong (ribs) or Mike Daniels would be in line to see the start at defensive tackle.

  • Lions' A'Shawn Robinson: Ready to rock

Robinson (knee) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. Robinson appears to have shed the knee injury that caused him to be limited in the last four practices. Barring any setbacks, the fourth-year pro is set for his usual start at defensive tackle against the Vikings on Sunday.

  • Lions' A'Shawn Robinson: Healthy for offseason workouts

Robinson (knee) didn't practice with the rehab group during minicamp, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. An unspecified knee injury prevented Robinson from taking part in Week 17 of last season, but it doesn't sound as if the defensive tackle has been significantly limited during spring workouts in any way. While Damon Harrison (contract dispute) is yet to report to the team this offseason, the Lions nonetheless appear to be entering the 2019 campaign with one of the strongest defensive fronts the organization has seen in some time. Robinson is a big part of that and seems primed for another productive year in the season ahead. The Alabama product was on pace for a career-high 60 tackles in 2018 had he played a full 16-game slate.
