Bills' Brandon Shell: Placed on retired list
The Bills placed Shell on the reserve/retired list Tuesday, Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News reports.
Shell was competing for a swing tackle job in Buffalo but instead is choosing to hang up his cleats, at least for the time being. A fifth-round pick of the Jets in 2016, Shell, 31, appeared in 83 career contests, making 72 starts across seven seasons for the Jets, Seahawks and Dolphins.

Bills' Brandon Shell: May step away
Shell is not at practice Tuesday and intends to retire, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
Shell signed with the Bills in May after spending last season with the Dolphins. He was expected to earn a reserve role at offensive tackle, but it appears after seven seasons in the league, the 31-year-old will opt for retirement instead.

Bills' Brandon Shell: Will be ready for training camp
Shell (knee) is expected to be healthy for the start of training camp, Mark Gaughan of The Buffalo News reports.
Shell signed with the Bills in May after starting 11 games for the Dolphins last season before injuring his knee during the team's Week 18 win against the Jets. Now close to 100 percent, the 31-year-old should provide depth behind projected starting tackles Dion Dawkins and Spencer Brown in 2023.

Bills' Brandon Shell: Expected to land with Buffalo
Shell is expected to sign with the Bills, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Shell played in 13 games with the Dolphins last season, starting 11 of them. The veteran lineman would likely bolster the depth of Buffalo's offensive line while possibly pushing Spencer Brown for starting duties at right tackle.

Dolphins' Brandon Shell: Won't play Sunday
Shell (knee) is inactive Sunday against the Bills.
Shell was unable to practice this week, and he'll now miss the team's wild-card round contest. Greg Little should draw the start at right tackle in his place.

Dolphins' Brandon Shell: Iffy for wild-card matchup
Shell (knee) is questionable for Sunday's wild-card matchup against Buffalo, Adam H. Beasley of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Shell didn't practice Wednesday through Friday due to a knee injury he suffered during the Dolphins' regular-season finale, but he'll still have a chance to suit up Sunday. He's one of three Miami offensive tackles listed as questionable, so it's unclear who will be starting the wild-card matchup against Buffalo.

Dolphins' Brandon Shell: Exits versus Jets
Shell is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Jets with ankle and knee injuries.
Shell appears to have sustained a pair of injuries at some point during the second half. With Terron Armstead (toe/pectoral/knee/hip) already inactive, Miami will be left without both of its starting tackles for the time being.
