Chargers' Tyeler Davison: Signed by Chargers
The Chargers signed Davison off the Browns' practice squad Wednesday.
Davison joined Cleveland's practice squad Oct. 12 after going unsigned ahead of the regular season. Now, the 30-year-old is likely set to make his 2022 debut with the Bolts after the team also placed defensive linemen Christian Covington (pectoral) and Otito Ogbonnia (kneecap) on injured reserve Wednesday. Davison recorded 30 tackles while playing 332 defensive snaps over 12 regular-season games for the Falcons last year, and he'll likely slot into a reserve role behind nose tackle Breiden Fehoko on Sunday against the Chargers.

Tyeler Davison: Added to Browns' practice team
Davison was signed to the Browns' practice squad Tuesday, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Davison was the second of two moves the Browns made this week to shore up a leaky rush defense, which has been gashed for 440 yards the last two weeks in losses to the Falcons and Chargers. Cleveland earlier acquired linebacker Deion Jones from Atlanta, where he and Davison were teammates.

Tyeler Davison: Waived Tuesday
Davison was waived by the Falcons on Tuesday, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Davison was waived with a failed physical designation, according to Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus. The 29-year-old had one-year remaining on his three-year deal that he signed in 2020. Davison appeared in 12 games in 2021, recording 30 tackles (10 solo).

Falcons' Tyeler Davison: Activated by Atlanta
The Falcons activated Davison (undisclosed) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, Scott Bair of the Falcons' official site reports.
Davison missed last week's game against Detroit while on the reserve/COVID-19 list, but he should be available for Sunday's Week 17 matchup against Buffalo. He's totaled three tackles (one solo) across his last three appearances.

Falcons' Tyeler Davison: Starts 15 games in 2020
Davison, who collected three tackles during Sunday's 44-27 loss to the Buccaneers, closed out the 2020 season with 36 tackles, two tackles for loss and half a sack over 16 games.
Davison remained durable during his second season as a Falcon, just as he has been throughout his six-year NFL career. Since entering the league as a fifth-round draft choice of New Orleans in 2015, the Fresno State standout has missed just three of a possible 96 regular-season games. He has started 27 times the past two seasons for Atlanta, after earning 12-plus starts during each of his final three years with the Saints. Davison inherited a considerable workload of 32.5 defensive snaps per game this season, but his 36 tackles represent a step back from the career high of 55 he collected last year. He's under contract with Atlanta for two more seasons at an average cap hit of $4.8 million per year.

Davison (ankle) was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice session, Jason Butt of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
The former Saint played two-thirds of the defensive snaps Week 1 against Seattle, but his workload was reduced to 41 percent Sunday during a loss to the Cowboys. Davison has since been designated with an ankle injury and his status for Sunday's showdown against the Bears remains uncertain. David Montgomery has gotten out to a hot start for Chicago with 146 rushing yards on 29 carries, while Tarik Cohen has plugged his way to 4.4 yards per carry on 12 attempts thus far on the season. Davison would factor in as a key piece to slowing down those two backs if he indeed ends up being active for the game.

Falcons' Tyeler Davison: Picks up first sack of 2019
Davison tallied a pass deflection and collected four combined tackles, including one sack, during Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Seahawks.
The 27-year-old Davison helped the Falcons finally generate some pressure, as Atlanta's defense logged two sacks against Seattle after going four straight games without registering a single one. Besides the sack, Davison has provided IDP value through other avenues as well, collecting a tackle for loss in two consecutive games and picking up four-plus tackles in four of his past five outings. He and the reeling Falcons defense can now catch a collective breath during the Week 9 bye before returning to the field Nov. 10 to take on a Saints offensive attack that has amassed 31 or more points over three of its past four appearances.
