Jeremiah Attaochu: Works out for Arizona
The Cardinals worked out Attaochu (pectoral) on Wednesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Attaochu ended the 2021 campaign on IR with a pectoral injury and was released by the Bears this offseason. However, now healthy, the 2014 second-round pick is looking to work his way back onto an NFL roster. The veteran linebacker is only one year removed from totaling 52 tackles and 8.5 sacks in 25 appearances across two seasons with Denver.

Jeremiah Attaochu: Cut by Chicago
Attachou (pectoral) was released by the Bears on Monday, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
Attaochu presumably was let go to help make room for free-agent nose tackle Mike Pennel, whom the team signed in a corresponding move Monday. The 29-year-old linebacker played 124 defensive snaps over five games before a torn pectoral that forced him to finish last season on the Bears' injured reserve list. Attaochu signed a two-year, $5.5 million contract with Chicago ahead of the 2021 campaign, but he ultimately was a long shot to make the team's final 53-man roster this time around while coming off such a severe season-ending injury.

Bears' Jeremiah Attaochu: Ends season on injured reserve
Attaochu (pectoral) was placed on injured reserve Oct. 13 and ended the season with two tackles in five games.
Attaochu tore his pectoral in Week 5, forcing him to miss the rest of the season, though he had only saw 25 snaps in the five games he played. He's signed through the 2022 season with two void years that expire in 2024, but unless he makes a significant move up the depth chart, he'll start the 2022 season off the IDP radar.

Bears' Jeremiah Attaochu: Placed on IR
The Bears placed Attaochu (pectoral) on injured reserve Wednesday, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.
As expected, Attaochu was placed on injured reserve after suffering a torn pectoral during Sunday's contest against the Raiders. In a corresponding move, the Bears signed Sam Kamara to their active roster and Ledarius Mack and Rashad Smith to their practice squad.

Bears' Jeremiah Attaochu: Out for season
Attaochu suffered a torn pec Sunday and will miss the rest of the season, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Attaochu, in his first season with the Bears, has been seeing 20 to 30 snaps on a weekly basis in a reserve role. He inked a two-year deal in the spring, so he'll look to return to the Bears by the time training camp begins in the summer of 2022. This will likely force Trevis Gipson into a larger role moving forward.

Attaochu missed Wednesday's practice this week due to a hamstring injury before logging limited sessions the following two days. The backup linebacker and special teamer will give it a go nonetheless, but with one combined tackle in the first two games, Attaochu is currently off the IDP radar.

The Bears signed Attaochu to a two-year contract Sunday.
Attaochu stands to handle a depth role in Chicago's linebacker corps while also contributing on special teams. Having only reached the 50-tackle mark once in his seven-year career, Attaochu is unlikely to emerge on the IDP radar even with a new landing spot. He does have limited value as a pass rusher, though.

Attaochu entered the day carrying a questionable designation after participating in a limited fashion throughout the practice week. He had largely been unavailable for contact drills since suffering the quad injury in late September, but recent progression provided optimism he'd be able to suit up for a Week 8 divisional clash. Attaochu is expected to make his first game appearance since Sept. 27 as a starter at outside linebacker.

Attaochu (quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Chargers, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Attaochu returned to practice this week after missing three straight games, and he stayed on the field as a limited participant all week. The 27-year-old stands a good chance to return to the lineup Sunday, and he'd likely start at strong-side linebacker if he's active. Attaochu posted nine tackles and a sack through the first three games.
