Mike Hull: Let go by Miami
The Dolphins released Hull (undisclosed) on Wednesday due to a failed physical, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com reports.
The specifics surrounding the failed physical remain unclear, but Hull spent the 2019 season on the reserve/PUP list with an undisclosed injury. The 28-year-old is now free to sign with any team, but he'll need to prove his health before any deal becomes official.

Hull signed a contract with the Dolphins on Thursday, Hal Habib of The Palm Beach Post reports.
Hull joined the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2015 and has been a backup linebacker for the team ever since. He missed the first eight games of 2018 due to a knee injury and was only able to record nine tackles (seven solo) in eight contests once he returned. He'll likely be a depth linebacker and special teams player once again in 2019.

Hull (knee) was activated off injured reserve Wednesday, the team's official site reports.
Hull had 21 days to be activated following his participation in practice Oct. 17, but it appears he only needed two of the three weeks to prove to the coaching staff and front office he was ready to contribute. Hull accounted for 183 defensive snaps and 341 special teams snaps last season and he should resume a role working behind Kiko Alonso.

Hull (knee) took part in Wednesday's practice session, Alain Poupart of the Dolphins' official site reports.
Hull's return to practice means that he'll be eligible for activation from injured reserve as soon as Oct. 26, which would put him on track to play Week 9 against the Jets. The fourth-year linebacker recorded 35 tackles (27 solo) last season and will likely serve in a reserve role once he's reinstated to the 53-man roster.
