The Packers kept their backup quarterback, Graham Harrell, after all. They’ve got five running backs on the roster, even as 2011 starter James Starks recovers from turf toe. They retained six receivers, though the sixth, Jarrett Boykin, wasn’t the guy most people predicted. Green Bay only has seven offensive linemen on the roster, though that will have to increase, presumably with the signing of a veteran free agent off waivers. On the defensive line, veteran Phillip Merling got the nod over Daniel Muir. And fifth round linebacker Terrell Manning is on the roster – for now. He or Brad Jones may forfeit his spot when Erik Walden returns from his one-game suspension. In the secondary, the Packers kept 11 defensive backs, including two surprises, CB Brandian Ross and undrafted rookie Sean Richardson. As expected, their three specialists remained the same.
