Mason Crosby: Could be active Sunday
Crosby is seen as a candidate to be elevated to the active roster for Sunday's Week 14 game against Baltimore, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
The Rams signed Crosby to their practice squad Wednesday, and it appears that they are considering deploying him as their kicker just a few days later. Until the signing, the veteran had been without a club since he made 25 of 29 field-goal tries with the Packers last year. Lucas Havrisik has been Los Angeles' kicker since Week 8, but he's struggled of late, missing a pair of field goals over the past two weeks. Still, the Rams don't intend to cut Havrisik even if they elevate Crosby, per Grosbard.

Mason Crosby: Finds new opportunity
Crosby signed with the Rams' practice squad Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Crosby has remained a free agent since March after departing Green Bay following 16 seasons, but he'll now have another opportunity in the NFL. The 39-year-old kicker will join the Rams as a member of the practice squad, but Garafolo relays that the team intends to move him to the 53-man roster in the near future. Assuming he's eventually promoted, Crosby will become the Rams' third kicker this season after they let Brett Maher go after seven games and now appear set to move on from Lucas Havrisik.

Mason Crosby: Works out with Rams
The Rams worked out Crosby on Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
The Rams released Brett Maher on Tuesday, so they're now in the market for a replacement at kicker. Crosby was unceremoniously replaced by Anders Carlson during the offseason after serving as Green Bay's kicker for 16 years, but he may soon get another chance with a different team.
