  • Timberwolves' Leonard Miller: Brief stint in G League

Minnesota recalled Miller from the G League's Iowa Wolves on Friday. Miller, Josh Minott and Wendell Moore were all assigned and recalled Friday, suggesting they practiced with the G League squad. Miller has made two NBA appearances in March, totaling five minutes of action.

  • Timberwolves' Leonard Miller: Recalled to NBA

Miller has been recalled from the G League's Iowa Wolves on Monday. With Karl-Anthony Towns (knee), Rudy Gobert (hamstring) and Kyle Anderson (shoulder) dealing with injuries, Miller will provide emergency depth ahead of Tuesday's game against the Clippers. Miller has averaged 20.3 points per game at the G League level, but he's been limited to just seven appearances and 3.7 minutes per contest with Minnesota.

  • Timberwolves' Leonard Miller: Gets garbage-time run in blowout

Miller (Achilles) played the final 4:49 of Thursday's 128-91 win over the Trail Blazers, logging two assists and missing his only field-goal attempt. Due to left Achilles soreness, Miller was sidelined Tuesday for the G League Iowa Wolves' 113-111 win over the Rip City Remix in the affiliate's final game before the All-Star break, but the rookie was healthy enough to make an appearance off the bench for the parent club Thursday. Miller has seen action in just seven games for the Timberwolves this season, averaging 2.1 points and 1.4 rebounds in 3.7 minutes.

  • Timberwolves' Leonard Miller: Out for Thursday

Miller (illness) will not play in Thursday's game against the Bucks. Miller is not usually in the rotation for Minnesota, so his absence doesn't carry many fantasy implications.

  • Timberwolves' Leonard Miller: Questionable for Thursday

Miller is questionable for Thursday's game against Milwaukee due to an illness. Miller was recalled by Minnesota on Monday, and it's unclear whether he'll be able to suit up Thursday. However, his status shouldn't impact the Timberwolves' rotation.

  • Timberwolves' Leonard Miller: Recalled from G League

The Timberwolves recalled Miller from the G League's Iowa Wolves on Wednesday. Miller has been a standout for Iowa, but he hasn't been given many opportunities with the Timberwolves yet. His last NBA appearance came Dec. 26 versus Oklahoma City, posting seven points and one rebound in five minutes.

  • Timberwolves' Leonard Miller: Called up for Tuesday

The Timberwolves recalled Miller from the G League's Iowa Wolves on Monday. Miller and Josh Minott have been central figures for Iowa this season, but both players will be called up in advance of Tuesday's game against Oklahoma City. Karl-Anthony Towns (knee) is questionable to play Tuesday, but Miller would likely profile as a mere depth piece even if the former is unable to suit up.

  • Timberwolves' Leonard Miller: Back to NBA

Minnesota recalled Miller from the G League's Iowa Wolves on Tuesday. Miller, Josh Minott, Wendell Moore, Luka Garza and Daishen Nix were all sent to the G League earlier in the day to presumably practice but have since returned to the NBA club. Miller has made just three NBA appearances thus far, totaling two points, six rebounds and one assist in six minutes.

  • Timberwolves' Leonard Miller: Designated to G League

Miller was officially designated to Minnesota's G League affiliate Sunday. Miller, the No.33 pick in the 2023 Draft, has turned heads with his rebounding prowess and rare on-ball skillset at 6-foot-9. Nonetheless, he'll receive additional development at the G League level, especially with Minnesota's frontcourt logjam which already featured Naz Reid coming off the bench.

  • Timberwolves' Leonard Miller: Swats three shots

Miller tallied 18 points (7-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, three blocks and two assists in 29 minutes during Wednesday's 99-93 Summer League loss to Atlanta. Miller has been one of the Summer League's standouts so far and is looking like a steal as a second-round pick for Minnesota. Miller was able to effectively use his long frame Wednesday to bother shots at the rim.

  • Timberwolves' Leonard Miller: Inks deal with Minnesota

Miller signed a four-year, $8.3 million contract with the Timberwolves on Sunday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports. The 6-foot-10 forward from Canada signed with Minnesota two days after he submitted a double-double (16 points, 11 rebounds) to go with two steals and one block in 24 minutes in his Las Vegas Summer League debut versus the Pelicans. Miller was the 33rd overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft in June following an impressive showing as a 19-year-old with the G League Ignite during the 2022-23 season, and while he boasts quality athleticism and above-average ballhandling skills for a player his size, his underdeveloped perimeter shot and iffy defense make it uncertain if he'll seize a regular rotation spot as a rookie.

  • Timberwolves' Leonard Miller: Heads to Minnesota via trade

Miller was selected by the Timberwolves with the No. 33 overall pick via a trade with the Spurs, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. San Antonio receives two future second-round picks. Miller is a raw talent out of the G League. The 6-foot-9 forward has shown an ability to thrive off of athleticism and ballhandling ability, but most of his game is unpolished, which also makes him a bit positionless -- not in a good way. His three-ball is subpar, and his defense is inconsistent. But the flashes of athletic brilliance, solid mid-range shooting and decent passing are enough for Minnesota to take a gamble.
