  • Facundo Campazzo: On way out of Dallas

The Mavericks plan to waive Campazzo on Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Dallas will replace him on the 15-man roster with another veteran guard in Kemba Walker, who should offer more of a scoring and playmaking boost to the bench unit than what Campazzo has provided so far this season. The 31-year-old Argentine has been a fringe member of head coach Jason Kidd's rotation in 2022-23, appearing in just seven of the Mavericks' 19 games while averaging 1.4 points, 1.3 assists and 0.9 steals in 7.4 minutes while shooting 23.1 percent from the field.

  • Mavericks' Facundo Campazzo: Dishes out five dimes

Campazzo finished Wednesday's 101-92 loss to the Rockets with three points (1-7 FG, 1-6 3Pt), two rebounds, five assists and three steals over 23 minutes.

Campazzo was inefficient from the floor Wednesday, but he recorded season-high marks in rebounds, assists and steals during the loss. He saw increased playing time with Luka Doncic (rest) sidelined, but Campazzo hasn't been part of the Mavericks' rotation when the team is at full strength.

  • Mavericks' Facundo Campazzo: Logs 13 minutes in season debut

Campazzo accumulated three points (1-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two assists and two steals in 13 minutes during Tuesday's 113-111 loss to the Pelicans.

Campazzo saw action for the first time this season, but he failed to deliver much in terms of fantasy value. He can be utilized as a streaming option for anyone in need of assists and steals, although his playing time is unlikely to warrant attention in standard formats.

  • Mavericks' Facundo Campazzo: Available Tuesday

Campazzo will be available to make his season debut Tuesday against the Pelicans, Callie Caplan of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Campazzo was unavailable for the first two games of the regular season due to visa issues, but he's joined the Mavericks ahead of Tuesday's matchup and will be available moving forward. He's unlikely to have a significant role for Dallas early in the year.

  • Mavericks' Facundo Campazzo: Visa issues preventing debut

Campazzo (not injury related) will remain sidelined for Saturday's game against the Grizzlies as the Mavericks attempt to get the point guard's visa reactivated, Brad Townsend of The Dallas Morning News reports.

The Mavericks' next game is Tuesday against the Pelicans. Once available, it's unlikely Campazzo holds a fantasy-relevant role.

  • Mavericks' Facundo Campazzo: Won't play Wednesday

Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd said Campazzo won't be active for Wednesday's season opener against the Suns, Callie Caplan of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Campazzo has participated in only one workout since joining the team Monday, so it's not surprising that he won't be part of the rotation for Wednesday's opener. It's possible Campazzo will appear in the Mavs' next game against Memphis on Saturday.

  • Mavericks' Facundo Campazzo: Reaches agreement with Mavericks

Campazzo signed with the Mavericks on Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Campazzo was initially expected to head overseas to play for Real Madrid this season, but he'll elect to remain in the NBA after reaching an agreement with Dallas. The 31-year-old made 65 appearances for the Nuggets last year and averaged 5.1 points and 3.4 assists in 18.2 minutes per game, and he should provide backcourt depth for the Mavericks this year.

  • Facundo Campazzo: Intends to sign with Mavericks

Campazzo intends to sign a one-year deal with the Mavericks, Sam Amico reports.

Campazzo will likely unite with Luka Doncic for the 2022-23 season after spending his last six seasons with the Nuggets. The 30-year-old played in 65 games with Denver last season and averaged 5.1 points, 3.4 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals. The Argentinian figures to see a depth role behind Doncic and Spencer Dinwiddie once he officially signs with Dallas.

  • Facundo Campazzo: Signs with Real Madrid

Campazzo inked a deal with Real Madrid on Wednesday, Christos Harpidis reports, returning after spending six seasons with the team prior to joining the Nuggets in 2020.

The 30-year-old appeared in 65 games for the Nuggets last season, averaging 18.2 minutes per game and recording 5.1 points, 3.4 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals in a backup role. The Argentinian benefitted from Jamal Murray's absence last season, but with Murray expected to start the new year healthy while Bones Hyland continues to draw excitement, Campazzo was left as the odd man out.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Becomes unrestricted free agent

Campazzo was not extended a qualifying offer by the Nuggets on Thursday, Vinny Benedetto of The Denver Gazette reports.

Campazzo has spent the past two seasons in Denver, but he wasn't utilized down the stretch of last season and saw just 13 minutes in the playoffs. He could garner interest from other contending teams as a depth option at point guard.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Suspended for Game 1

Campazzo has been suspended for Saturday's Game 1 against the Warriors for his shove against Wayne Ellington during the final game of the regular season, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Campazzo's absence probably won't affect things for Denver. The point guard hasn't been a consistent part of the rotation since mid-February.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Cleared from injury report

Campazzo (illness) will be available Monday at Charlotte.

Campazzo was battling an illness earlier in the day but has been given the green light to play. He was dropped from the regular rotation after the All-Star break, however, so his return won't have much of an impact.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Out with illness

Campazzo will not play Saturday against the Thunder due to an illness.

Campazzo did not see action in Denver's last two games as a coach's decision, and he'll now be unavailable Saturday. He spent just six minutes on the court over the Nuggets' last eight contests, so his absence will not have a noticeable effect on their rotation.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Iffy for Monday's contest

Campazzo (illness) is questionable for Monday's contest against the Hornets.

Campazzo was sidelined Saturday due to an illness and may be in jeopardy of missing a second consecutive contest due to the aliment. However, the backup guard has played just six minutes over the Nuggets' last nine games, so his potential absence shouldn't impact Denver's rotation.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Plays 20 minutes off bench again

Campazzo had six points (2-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and three steals in 23 minutes during Saturday's 110-109 win over the Raptors.

With Monte Morris (concussion) sidelined again, Campazzo played 20-plus minutes for a second straight game. Over his last two contests, the 5-foot-10 point guard has totaled 20 points, seven rebounds, six assists, four steals and one block. As long as Morris remains sidelined, expect Campazzo to continue to garner a sizable role off the bench.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Solid performance off bench

Campazzo ended Friday's 108-102 loss to Boston with 14 points (4-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 29 minutes.

With Monte Morris (concussion) sidelined, Bones Hyland drew the first start of his career. However, Campazzo played more minutes and was more productive than Hyland off the bench. The 5-foot-10 point guard scored in double figures for the first time since Jan. 13 and registered at least one steal and one block in the same game for the 10th time this season. Denver has three games remaining before the All-Star break, but it's unclear if Morris will be able to play in any of those contests. As long as he remains sidelined, Campazzo and Hyland are both candidates for increased roles.

  • Nuggets' Facundo Campazzo: Downward slide continues in loss

Campazzo closed with zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound, four assists and one block across 11 minutes during Tuesday's 130-115 loss to Minnesota.

Campazzo was a non-factor in the loss, struggling to contribute despite the fact the game descended into garbage time quite early. After a brief stint as a streaming option, he has fallen off a cliff of late. Based on what we have seen over the past few weeks, he would need a lot to go his way should he hope to elevate himself in the rotation once again. For now, only those in very deep formats should give him a look.
