  • Grizzlies' Brandon Clarke: Plays 21 minutes in season debut

Clarke (Achilles) closed Wednesday's 136-124 loss to the Lakers with six points (3-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-1 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal across 21 minutes.

Clarke tore his left Achilles' tendon in early March last season and needed over a year to recover from surgery before he was able to return to NBA action. The Gonzaga product was able to give Memphis quality minutes off the bench in his season debut, and he recorded a team-best plus-15 point differential while he was on the court. Given his long layoff, Clarke likely won't see his minutes pick up dramatically from Wednesday, especially with the Grizzlies out of playoff contention.

  • Grizzlies' Jake LaRavia: Catches fire in fourth quarter

LaRavia accumulated 25 points (9-14 FG, 7-9 3Pt, 0-1 FT), six rebounds, four assists and one steal across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 136-124 loss to the Lakers.

His efforts weren't enough to bring Memphis back against a suddenly hot Lakers squad, but LaRavia at least helped keep the Grizzlies from being completely blown out with 14 of his 25 points in the fourth period. Overall, the second-year forward scored all but four of his points from beyond the arc, and his seven three-pointers more than doubled his previous career-best mark of three. LaRavia is usually good for a triple or two per contest, so there's little reason to expect this type of output from deep consistently, though he has held some low-end fantasy value of late with averages of 13.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals through 14 games in March.

  • Grizzlies' Desmond Bane: Racks up career-high 16 dimes

Bane finished with 26 points (8-17 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds, 16 assists and one steal across 40 minutes during Wednesday's 136-124 loss to the Lakers.

Bane was Memphis' leading scorer and drained four triples in the loss, but his most impactful contribution came as a passer. The talented guard set a career high with 16 assists, marking his first time reaching double digits in that category over five contests since returning from a 29-game absence March 16. Bane has two other double-digit assist performances this season and is averaging a career-high 5.5 dimes per contest on the campaign.

  • Grizzlies' Jordan Goodwin: Transferred to G League

The Grizzlies transferred Goodwin to the G League's Memphis Hustle on Wednesday.

Goodwin is closing in on reaching his maximum total of active games he's allotted at the NBA level this season as a two-way player, so he'll be inactive for Wednesday's game against the Lakers after being assigned to the Hustle. Scotty Pippen will likely continue to receive extended playing time in his absence.

  • Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Officially ruled out

Williams (knee) won't play in Wednesday's game versus the Lakers, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.

Williams' absence streak will extend to nine games Wednesday due to a left knee injury. His next chance to suit up is Saturday's matchup with Orlando, but the second-year forward doesn't have a return timetable, per Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal.

  • Grizzlies' John Konchar: Won't play Wednesday

Konchar (heel) won't suit up for Wednesday's game against the Lakers, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.

Wednesday will mark the second straight game on the sidelines for Konchar, which should result in more minutes for GG Jackson and DeJon Jarreau. Konchar's next chance to play will come Saturday in Orlando.

  • Grizzlies' Brandon Clarke: Available to make season debut

Clarke (Achilles) is available for Wednesday's game against the Lakers, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.

Clarke is nearly 13 months removed from tearing his Achilles and has officially gotten the green light to suit up for the first time this season. He figures to be monitored closely and will likely handle a small role off the bench. Last season, Clarke averaged 10.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals-plus-blocks in 19.5 minutes per game across 56 appearances (eight starts).

  • Grizzlies' John Konchar: Unlikely to play Wednesday

Konchar (heel) is listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game versus the Lakers.

Konchar is expected to miss his second straight game due to right heel soreness. GG Jackson and DeJon Jarreau will likely continue to receive increased playing time if Konchar is officially ruled out.

  • Grizzlies' Yuta Watanabe: Absence to continue Wednesday

Watanabe (personal) will not play Wednesday versus the Lakers.

Watanabe has not suited up since March 1, initially due to a wrist sprain and now for personal reasons. The 29-year-old is unlikely to profile as a relevant component of the Grizzlies rotation down the stretch.

  • Grizzlies' Vince Williams: Unlikely to play Wednesday

Williams (knee) is listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game versus the Lakers.

Williams is expected to miss his ninth straight contest while dealing with left knee tendinitis. GG Jackson will likely continue to start if Williams is officially ruled out.

  • Grizzlies' Luke Kennard: Unavailable Wednesday

Kennard (personal) will be inactive for Wednesday's game against the Lakers.

Kennard's multi-game absence due to a personal matter will continue Wednesday. He will have until Saturday against Orlando before the Grizzlies' ensuing contest.

  • Grizzlies' Brandon Clarke: Upgraded to questionable

Clarke (Achilles) is questionable to play Wednesday versus the Lakers, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports.

Clarke ascending to questionable is an interesting development with 10 games remaining on the schedule. Clarke began contact work at the beginning of March and has been ramping up at practice with the Grizzlies' G League affiliate, with April 3 set to represent 13 months of recovery after tearing his Achilles. An abundance of caution will be exercised with the 27-year-old, but building continuity with Memphis' young contributors could have merit. Clarke's status will need to be monitored in advance of Wednesday's contest.

  • Grizzlies' Lamar Stevens: Puts up 19 points in return

Stevens (adductor) closed with 19 points (6-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-7 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 23 minutes during Monday's 128-103 loss to the Nuggets.

Stevens made his return to action after a six-game absence due to a left adductor strain and came through with a big night off the bench, with his 19 points leading the team. Given that he was aided by Jaren Jackson being limited by foul trouble and also shot more efficiently than normal from the field and free-throw line, Stevens' performance looks to be an outlier. In any case, with the Grizzlies' injury list still quite extensive, Stevens should be able to maintain a regular spot in the rotation moving forward, though Monday's line represents the higher end of what he'll offer.

  • Grizzlies' Desmond Bane: Modest performance in loss

Bane amassed 15 points (6-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one steal across 32 minutes during Monday's 128-103 loss to Denver.

Bane was back in the starting lineup Monday, producing nothing more than a serviceable fantasy line. While it is good to see him back on the floor, it is clear the Grizzlies are not going to roll him out there on a nightly basis. Given the uncertainty regarding his availability, he is a tough player to hold for more than one game at a time.

  • Grizzlies' Trey Jemison: Back in rotation Monday

Jemison recorded eight points (3-5 FG, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 22 minutes during Monday's 128-103 loss to the Nuggets.

Jemison returned to the lineup after sitting out against the Spurs on Friday. The Grizzlies continue to tinker with their lineup on a nightly basis, making it hard to trust anyone when it comes to sustainable fantasy value. At this point, it might be a situation to avoid, barring the ability to add players right up until the opening tip.

  • Grizzlies' Scotty Pippen: Draws start Monday

Pippen is in the starting lineup for Monday's game against Denver.

Pippen starts alongside Desmond Bane (back) in the Grizzlies' backcourt. Pippen is averaging 10.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.8 steals in 27.0 minutes across five prior starts this season -- although none have come alongside Bane to this point.

  • Grizzlies' John Konchar: Ruled out

Konchar (heel) is unavailable for Monday's game against the Nuggets.

Konchar is dealing with a right heel injury and will miss his first action since March 10 as a result. GG Jackson and DeJon Jarreau should be in line for more chances with Konchar out of commission.
