Kings' Malik Monk: Flirts with double-double in loss
Monk provided 14 points (4-14 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT), nine rebounds and four assists in 31 minutes during Sunday's 120-100 loss to the Warriors in Game 7 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
Monk's playoff contributions were critical to the Kings' success, and the Kentucky product was one of the best sixth men in the quarterfinals. Monk averaged 19.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.0 assists in the series against the Warriors. The 25-year-old has one more year on his contract with the Kings, and after beating out Davion Mitchell and Terence Davis for bench minutes, his place in the second unit should be on solid ground next season.

Kings' Malik Monk: Goes for 28 points in win
Monk posted 28 points (8-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 9-10 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal across 32 minutes during Friday's 118-99 win over the Warriors in Game 6 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
Outside of a subpar four-point performance in Game 3, Monk has been outstanding in the series and has scored in double digits in each of the other five games, including posting back-to-back games with at least 20 points in the last two. Monk is averaging 19.8 points per contest while shooting 35.5 percent from deep in the series.

Kings' Malik Monk: Goes for 21 points off bench
Monk notched 21 points (6-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 8-10 FT), five rebounds, three assists and two steals over 29 minutes during Wednesday's 123-116 loss to the Warriors in Game 5 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
Monk didn't have the most efficient outing Wednesday, but he still ended as one of the Kings' top scorers in this heartbreaking loss. Monk has been a reliable scoring weapon for Sacramento, clearing the 15-point plateau off the bench in four of the five contests of the series so far. Game 6 will be played Friday at Chase Center.

Monk struggled with his efficiency and couldn't replicate his 32-point explosion from Game 1, but he still provided quality production off the bench. Despite operating as a reserve, Monk has seen starter-level playing time, while Keegan Murray has been held to under 20 minutes in each of the first two games of the opening-round series.

Kings' Malik Monk: Brilliant from bench
Monk registered 32 points (8-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 14-14 FT), three rebounds and two assists in 29 minutes during Saturday's 126-123 victory over the Warriors in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
Monk did a little bit of everything in the Game 1 win, providing significant offensive muscle throughout. Most notably, he was perfect from the charity stripe, converting 14 free-throw attempts. A leg injury hampered Monk's production toward the end of the season, but he had a run of five straight double-digit scoring performances during the final two weeks of in-season play. If Game 1 is any indication, Monk could be the second-best producer for the Kings moving forward.

Monk (leg) will be available to play Sunday against the Nuggets, Chris Biderman of The Sacramento Bee reports.
Monk is back after a one-game absence, so he should see his usual minutes with the reserves. With Monk active, Terence Davis and P.J. Dozier won't play as much.
