  • Lakers' Gabe Vincent: Eyeing Sunday return

Vincent (knee) is set to join the Lakers for the start of their four-game road trip that begins Friday in Indiana and is expected to make his return to action Sunday in Brooklyn, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Though Vincent looks like he'll remain out Friday, barring a setback leading up to Sunday's morning shootaround, he'll be available to play later that day against the Nets for what would be his first appearance since Dec. 20. After signing a three-year, $33 million deal with the Lakers over the summer, Vincent has thus far been limited to just five appearances after his season debut was delayed while he recovered from a left knee effusion. The knee issue then cropped up again in December, prompting Vincent to undergo arthroscopic surgery to provide a longer-term fix for the issue. Vincent will likely claim a spot in the rotation once healthy, though he could be in store for only a light role behind backcourt starters D'Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves.

  • Lakers' Colin Castleton: Plays in garbage time in return

Castleton (wrist) played the final 1:19 of Wednesday's 136-124 win over the Grizzlies and didn't record any statistics during his time on the court.

Castleton, one of the Lakers' three two-way players, was cleared to return to action Wednesday after he hadn't appeared at the NBA or G League level since Feb. 10 while recovering from a fractured right wrist. Even with Anthony Davis (knee) sidelined for the second leg of a back-to-back set, the rookie big man out of Florida remained out of head coach Darvin Ham's rotation, as the Lakers relied mostly on small-ball lineups when fill-in starting center Jaxson Hayes (31 minutes) was off the court.

  • Lakers' Jaxson Hayes: Solid in starting role

Hayes finished Wednesday's 136-124 win over the Grizzlies with 14 points (6-7 FG, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 30 minutes.

Hayes moved into the starting unit Wednesday with Anthony Davis (knee) out of action, and he was able to give the Lakers 31 minutes on the second night of a back-to-back set despite picking up five fouls. Hayes finished with his second-best scoring total of the season while missing just one of his seven field-goal attempts, and he added seven boards, third-most on the team. It's unclear if Davis will need to miss additional time -- if so, Hayes could hold some value as a low-end streamer in fantasy leagues for managers needing boards, though he's not a viable option when Davis is in the lineup.

  • Lakers' Rui Hachimura: Rides red-hot hand to 32 points

Hachimura finished with 32 points (11-14 FG, 7-8 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and two blocks across 36 minutes during Wednesday's 136-124 win over the Grizzlies.

Hachimura entered Wednesday having gone just 3-for-13 from three-point range over his previous five games, but he caught fire against Memphis to drain a season-best seven triples on just eight attempts. In addition to his offensive impact, the power forward grabbed 10 boards to notch his second double-double of the season -- both of which have come in his past two contests. Hachimura featured more prominently with Anthony Davis (knee) out of action, and the former could continue to take on a more central role if Davis needs to miss additional time.

  • Lakers' LeBron James: Returns to court with triple-double

James chipped in 23 points (8-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 7-11 FT), 14 rebounds, 12 assists and one steal over 35 minutes during Wednesday's 136-124 win over the Grizzlies.

James sat out the Lakers' marathon double-overtime victory against Milwaukee on Tuesday, but he returned for the second night of the team's back-to-back set Wednesday while Anthony Davis (knee) sat out. The future Hall of Famer led Los Angeles in both rebounds (14) and assists (12) in the victory while finishing tied for second on the club in scoring with 23 points on a healthy 8-for-14 shooting line. The triple-double was James' fourth of the season and his first since he put up a 36/20/12 line against the Warriors on Jan. 27. The Lakers have won five straight and are making a late-season push to move up in the standings, so James should avoid sitting out for rest purposes for the most part, though it's worth noting that the team has two back-to-back sets remaining on the schedule.

  • Lakers' Jaxson Hayes: Starting Wednesday

Hayes will move into the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies with Anthony Davis (knee) unavailable, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.

Hayes was limited by foul trouble in his previous start this season and finished with just five points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one turnover to his credit over 20 minutes. However, he'll draw an extremely favorable matchup against a Memphis team featuring a bevy of players on two-way contracts and 10-day deals, so he could still be worth a dice roll in fantasy hoops.

  • Lakers' Spencer Dinwiddie: Moves to bench role Wednesday

Dinwiddie is not in the starting lineup to face the Grizzlies on Wednesday.

Dinwiddie will return to his regular bench role following the return of LeBron James (ankle). Dinwiddie is averaging 5.0 points and 2.7 assists per game when deployed off the bench.

  • Lakers' LeBron James: Will play Wednesday

James (ankle) will play Wednesday against the Grizzlies, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.

Anthony Davis (knee) will hit the sidelines for Wednesday's game, so James figures to be very busy on offense, making him an attractive target in daily fantasy leagues. Season-long managers should ensure they have King James active.

  • Lakers' Anthony Davis: Ruled out against Memphis

Davis (knee) won't play in Wednesday's game versus the Grizzlies, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.

Davis has been downgraded from questionable to out on the second leg of Los Angeles' back-to-back Wednesday due to a left knee injury. Jaxson Hayes will likely replace him in the starting five. Davis' next chance to suit up is Friday's matchup with Indiana.

  • Lakers' Colin Castleton: Set to return Wednesday

Castleton (wrist) isn't on the injury report for Wednesday's game versus the Grizzlies.

Castleton hasn't played since Feb. 14 due to a fractured right wrist but is available to play Wednesday. However, the 23-year-old big man is unlikely to receive significant playing time.

  • Lakers' Gabe Vincent: Another absence coming

Vincent (knee) won't play in Wednesday's game versus the Grizzlies, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.

Vincent will miss his 45th straight game Wednesday due to a left knee injury. While Vincent is expected to be nearing a return, his next chance to suit up is Friday's matchup with Indiana.

  • Lakers' LeBron James: Officially deemed questionable

James (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.

James was unavailable for Tuesday's game against the Bucks, but he expects to return for the second half of the back-to-back set, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com. The 39-year-old has made nine appearances in March, averaging 26.0 points, 9.2 assists and 7.7 rebounds in 36.1 minutes per game.

  • Lakers' Anthony Davis: Dealing with knee injury

Davis is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies due to a left knee hyperextension, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.

With LeBron James (ankle) sidelined, Davis led the Lakers to a comeback win over Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks on Tuesday, finishing with 34 points, 23 rebounds, four blocks and two steals in 52 minutes during a double-overtime affair. Given the hefty workload, Davis' appearance on the injury report may be precautionary during the second night of a back-to-back set, but it's worth mentioning the knee issue is new for Davis, who was previously playing through bilateral Achilles soreness.

  • Lakers' D'Angelo Russell: Plays 50 minutes in comeback win

Russell accumulated 29 points (7-22 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 10-10 FT), 12 assists, seven rebounds, two steals and one block across 50 minutes during Tuesday's 128-124 double-overtime win over the Bucks.

With LeBron James (ankle) sitting out and with the game requiring two overtime periods, Russell and Austin Reaves (48 minutes) took on huge workloads out of the backcourt. Though he struggled with his shot and didn't score his first points until midway through the second quarter, Russell played a key role in helping the Lakers come back from a fourth-quarter deficit that was as much as 17 points with less than eight minutes remaining in regulation. He drilled a pair of jumpers and hit a pair of free throws in the fourth quarter to help send the game to overtime, then hit two more game-tying free throws in the first overtime in addition to handing out three assists. With James expected back for Wednesday's game in Memphis, Russell will likely see a downturn in the 25.2 percent usage rate he handled Tuesday.

  • Lakers' Rui Hachimura: Steps up sans LeBron James

Hachimura amassed 16 points (7-14 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 14 rebounds and one assist across 39 minutes in Tuesday's 128-124 double-overtime victory over Milwaukee.

Hachimura had already been a fixture in the starting five for the Lakers, but thanks to the absence of LeBron James (ankle) as well as the two extra periods, he played his most minutes of the season and hoisted his most shot attempts since March 8. As per usual, Hachimura didn't make much of an all-around impact in the box score, though he was unusually effective on the glass, with his 14 boards marking the first time all season that he had secured double-digit rebounds.

  • Lakers' Anthony Davis: Erupts for 34 points, 23 boards

Davis finished with 34 points (12-31 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 7-7 FT), 23 rebounds, four blocks, two assists and two steals across 52 minutes in Tuesday's 128-124 double-overtime win over the Bucks.

Plenty of rebounds were up for grabs with the two teams combining to hit just 40.1 percent of their 228 shot attempts on the night, and Davis was able to clean up en route to his second game of the season with at least 20 boards. Though he supplemented the rebound total with strong numbers in the defensive categories and a big scoring total, he wasn't immune to the shooting struggles, as his 38.7 percent mark from field on heavy volume was harmful in category-based leagues. On a positive note, Davis stepped up with perfect shooting from the free-throw line, and his trio of three-pointers were also a welcome sight; he had nailed just three triples combined over his last 15 games. Given that he handled his heftiest workload of the season Tuesday and has been battling bilateral Achilles tendinopathy, Davis could be a candidate to sit out Wednesday against the Grizzlies in the second leg of a back-to-back set.

  • Lakers' Austin Reaves: Sparks comeback with triple-double

    Reaves totaled 29 points (10-20 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 14 rebounds, 10 assists and two blocks across 48 minutes in Tuesday's 128-124 double-overtime win over Milwaukee.

Reaves and D'Angelo Russell both stepped into expanded playmaking roles while LeBron James (ankle) sat out Tuesday, with Reaves coming through with one of the more efficient scoring lines for the Lakers on a night when the team connected on just 38.9 percent of its field-goal attempts. He appeared to be headed for a much more modest line with the Bucks holding a 19-point lead with just under eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, but Reaves scored seven points and four assists in the final period to extend the game to overtime and bolster his statistics. James is expected to be back in action for Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies, and though Reaves is likely to lose out on some shot attempts and assist opportunities, he's still primed to be a must-roster player for the rest of the season while the 40-32 Lakers remain hopeful to avoid the Western Conference Play-In Tournament.
