Watch list has arrived in college football. The annual individual awards given at the end of the season will be rolling out their initial lists over the next couple weeks, and college football fans get their first round of debatable distinctions for 2012.
The Walter Camp Player of the Year is awarded annually to a player from the Walter Camp All-American team, and is the nation's fourth-oldest college football honor for an individual. Eleven players on the 2012 watch list have previously earned Walter Camp All-America honors, and LSU defensive back Tyrann Mathieu was a finalist for the award in 2011.
The 2012 watch list includes three returning semi-finalists from a year ago: Matt Barkley, Landry Jones, and Sammy Watkins. Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck was named the Player of the Year in an award ceremony in December.
