BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) Connor Bazelak completed his first 11 passes on his way to 319 yards and three touchdowns in Bowling Green's 38-15 victory over Eastern Illinois on Saturday.

Harold Fannin Jr. had 109 yards receiving on seven catches, including a 19-yard toss from Bazelak over the middle late in the third quarter that gave the Falcons (1-1) a 31-12 lead. Bazelak finished 23-of-28 passing with no interceptions.

Odieu Hiliare, who gave the Falcons their first points with a 10-yard TD catch, extended his streak to 37 games with a reception, the fifth-best active streak in the nation.

Ta’ron Keith added 123 yards on six catches and Terion Stewart had a pair of rushing touchdowns. The Falcons finished with 509 yards of offense.

It was 21-6 in the second quarter after a Bazelk pass to Abdul-Fatai Ibrahim, who dragged his feet to stay inbounds in the end zone.

The Panthers got within 21-12 at halftime after Australian punter Jacob Horvath ran for 23 yards off a fake late in the second quarter to keep alive a drive that ended with a touchdown on Pierce Holley's 31-yard pass to DeAirious Smith on fourth down. Horvath saw his first collegiate action and witnessed his first American football game in person versus Indiana State last week.

Holley threw for 250 yards for Eastern Illinois (1-1).

Bowling Green plays at No. 2 Michigan next Saturday.
