  • Kraken's John Hayden: Reassigned to AHL

Hayden was loaned to AHL Coachella Valley on Thursday.

Hayden passed through waivers Saturday after he was placed there Friday. The 30-year-old ends the NHL season with one goal, one assist and 31 PIM over 20 games.

  • Kraken's Ville Ottavainen: Returns to AHL

Ottavainen was reassigned to AHL Coachella Valley on Wednesday.

Ottavainen made his NHL debut Tuesday, registering an assist in 14:24 of ice time during a 6-5 overtime loss to Los Angeles. Seattle's season is over, so he'll go back to helping Coachella Valley -- he has three goals, 15 points and 41 PIM over 66 outings with the minor-league club.

  • Kraken's Jared McCann: Slated to undergo surgery

McCann announced Wednesday that he'll undergo surgery Monday to address an undisclosed issue that he dealt with throughout the season, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.

Although McCann appeared in all 82 games for the Kraken this season, he was apparently dealing with an undisclosed injury and will require approximately six weeks to recover during the offseason. However, it wouldn't be surprising to see him back in action once training camp begins ahead of the 2025-26 season. The 28-year-old recorded 22 goals, 39 assists, 50 blocked shots, 47 hits and 18 PIM while averaging 17:13 of ice time this year.

  • Kraken's Ville Ottavainen: Earns helper in NHL debut

Ottavainen logged an assist and three hits in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Kings.

Ottavainen made his NHL debut Tuesday. He saw 14:24 of ice time and earned his first point with a secondary helper on a Jaden Schwartz tally in the third period. Ottavainen hasn't done much scoring with AHL Coachella Valley this year, earning 14 points over 66 appearances. The 22-year-old blueliner is still a work in progress, but he may compete for an NHL job in training camp in the fall.

  • Kraken's Jamie Oleksiak: Notches assist in loss

Oleksiak posted an assist in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Kings.

Oleksiak set up a Jaden Schwartz tally in the third period. Oleksiak earned three assists over the last five games of the season, though he largely struggled to do much on offense for large stretches of the campaign. The 32-year-old blueliner ends 2024-25 with 17 points, 66 shots on net, 159 blocked shots, 74 hits, 34 PIM and a minus-2 rating over 82 contests. His role shrunk at times to allow Ryker Evans more ice time, and if that trend continues in 2025-26, Oleksiak's fantasy appeal will drop even more.

  • Kraken's Andre Burakovsky: Adds assist with man advantage

Burakovsky logged a power-play assist in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Kings.

Burakovsky closed out the campaign with 13 points, including four on the power play, over the last 14 games. That's as good as Burakovsky has looked at any time in the last two years. The 30-year-old winger stayed healthy for the most part in 2024-25, earning 10 goals, 37 points (eight on the power play), 115 shots on net, 33 hits and a minus-3 rating over 79 appearances. He's under contract for two more years at a $5.5 million cap hit -- unless the Kraken buy him out, he'll likely be occupying a middle-six role again in 2025-26, as few teams will be interested in trading for him at that price.

  • Kraken's Kaapo Kakko: Fits in well in Seattle

Kakko logged a power-play assist and two PIM in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Kings.

Kakko earned three goals and four assists over the last 12 games of the season. The 24-year-old has shown promise since a December trade sent him to the Kraken from the Rangers. All told, he had 44 points in 79 appearances this season, with 30 of those points coming in 49 outings with the Kraken. He added a total of 117 shots on net, 68 hits, 28 blocked shots, 38 PIM and a minus-2 rating. Kakko is a restricted free agent this summer, and along with Ryker Evans, he'll be a top priority for general manager Ron Francis in negotiations this offseason.

  • Kraken's Vince Dunn: Garners power-play assist Tuesday

Dunn notched a power-play assist, four shots on goal, four blocked shots, four PIM and a minus-2 rating in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Kings.

Dunn got on the scoresheet in the final minute of the third period on Eeli Tolvanen's goal. The 28-year-old Dunn had four assists over seven outings in April, but he ended 2024-25 in a 22-game goal drought. The defenseman concluded the campaign at 39 points (12 on the power play), 137 shots on net, 79 blocked shots, 33 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 62 appearances. It wasn't a great season for him compared to the previous two years, but Dunn's power-play time and top-four usage will keep him in the conversation in fantasy for 2025-26.

  • Kraken's Shane Wright: Impresses in first full season

Wright recorded a power-play assist in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Kings.

Wright picked up four points over the last seven games of the season. The 21-year-old faded a bit later in the season, but there's little reason to worry in the long run. He put up 19 goals, 25 helpers, 13 power-play points, 91 shots on net, 62 blocked shots, 54 hits and a plus-4 rating over 79 appearances. Wright has some areas to work on -- consistency and shot volume being the two big ones -- but this was a good first full season for him to build on.

  • Kraken's Jordan Eberle: Logs power-play assist

Eberle posted a power-play assist and three shots on goal in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Kings.

Eberle closed out the campaign on a three-game assist streak. The winger wasn't able to end his goal drought -- he didn't score in the final 10 contests of 2024-25. An injury-plagued campaign limited him to 42 appearances, but he was steady with 26 points, 66 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating. Still, Eberle will be in his age-35 season in 2025-26, so expecting his offense to hover in the 40-to-50-point range is likely a best-case scenario.

  • Kraken's Jared McCann: Finishes as team's points leader

McCann logged a power-play assist and three shots on goal in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Kings.

McCann posted 16 points over the last 14 contests of the campaign. That surge helped him take the Kraken's scoring title this season, earning 61 points while playing in all 82 games for the first time in his career. He was 10 points clear of Chandler Stephenson. McCann's time in Seattle has cemented him as a reliable scorer and power-play producer, and he also chipped in 202 shots on net, 47 hits, 50 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating in 2024-25.

  • Kraken's Tye Kartye: Pots shorthanded goal

Kartye scored a shorthanded goal and added four hits in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Kings.

Kartye made the most of his chances in April, earning four points over five games this month. The 23-year-old forward was largely limited to fourth-line minutes when he was in the lineup, which wasn't a given for much of the campaign. Kartye had six goals, 56 shots on net, 175 hits, 43 PIM and a minus-14 rating over 63 appearances. He is a pending restricted free agent, and it's unclear if the Kraken are interesting in extending him a qualifying offer.

  • Kraken's Eeli Tolvanen: Scores late power-play goal

Tolvanen scored a power-play goal on three shots and blocked two shots in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Kings.

Tolvanen made things a little interesting with his goal in the final minute of the game, but the Kraken couldn't tie it up. This tally ended a six-game skid for the 25-year-old winger. Tolvanen was second on the Kraken with 23 goals but added just 12 assists over 81 appearances. He continued to be a physical force in a middle-six role, adding 237 hits, 65 blocked shots, 23 PIM and a plus-3 rating. A reduced power-play role explains his drop from 41 points in 2023-24 to 35 points this season.

... See More ... See Less
  • Kraken's Jaden Schwartz: Pots goal in loss

Schwartz scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Kings.

Schwartz racked up three goals over the last six games of the season. Overall, the 32-year-old winger was solid this year, finishing with 49 points, good for third on the team. He had a team-leading 26 goals while adding 194 shots on net, 43 hits, 42 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating over a career-high 81 games played.

... See More ... See Less
  • Kraken's Brandon Montour: Completes successful season

Montour scored a power-play goal on five shots and went minus-2 in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Kings.

While the Kraken were nothing special in 2024-25, Montour played well in his first year with the team. Through Tuesday's games, he ranks fourth among all NHL defensemen with 18 goals, and he was sixth among all Kraken skaters in goals and points (41). Still, he ended the year a little cold with just two goals over his last 13 contests. He added a total of 231 shots on net, 100 blocked shots, 84 hits, 70 PIM and a minus-22 rating over 81 appearances this season. Montour signed a seven-year deal last summer, so he'll be a key part of the Seattle blue line for quite some time.

... See More ... See Less
  • Kraken's Matty Beniers: Gets back to 20-goal mark

Beniers scored a power-play goal on four shots in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Kings.

The tally gave Beniers 20 goals on the year. His last two goals came against the Kings, but those were his only points over the last nine contests of the season. Overall, Beniers played in all 82 games and racked up 43 points (nine on the power play), 147 shots on net, 77 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating. His defensive game is good, but the 22-year-old will need to find more offense to live up to his draft position (No. 2 overall in 2021).

... See More ... See Less
  • Kraken's Joey Daccord: Stumbles in finale

Daccord allowed six goals on 24 shots in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Kings.

Daccord had a terrible season finale, though it was part of a larger trend of struggles late in the year. He closed out the campaign with a three-game losing streak and allowed four or more goals in nine of his last 19 outings. Overall, he finished at a 27-23-5 record with a 2.75 GAA and a .906 save percentage across 57 appearances. That was a career high in games played, which happened because Philipp Grubauer was too unreliable to carve out steady playing time after December. With a contract extension kicking in for 2025-26, Daccord is likely to enter next season as the Kraken's No. 1 goalie.

... See More ... See Less
  • Kraken's Joey Daccord: First goalie off Tuesday

Daccord was the first goalie to leave the ice Tuesday, Mike Benton of the Kraken Audio Network reports, indicating he'll patrol the crease at home versus the Kings.

Daccord has already set new personal bests in games played (56) and wins (27) this season, though he saw his GAA creep up to 2.69 this year -- slightly above last year's 2.46. The backstop has already signed a long-term extension with the Kraken heading into next year and figures to remain the top option between the pipes.
