Stars' Justin Hryckowian: Earns first career assist
Hryckowian notched an assist and added two hits in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Red Wings.
The 23-year-old forward set up Matej Blumel's tally in the first period. This was Hryckowian's first NHL point over five appearances, and he's added just three shots on net and eight hits. He'll likely remain in a fourth-line role while the Stars are down a couple of forwards, but he could head back to AHL Texas once Roope Hintz (upper body) and Mason Marchment (face) are able to play again.

Stars' Ilya Lyubushkin: Assists in back-to-back games
Lyubushkin posted an assist, four blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Red Wings.
Lyubushkin has followed up a 10-game point drought with a helper in each of the last two contests. This burst of offense is unlikely to last long for the 30-year-old defenseman, who plays in more of a physical role on the Stars' blue line. He has 10 helpers, 26 shots on net, 70 blocked shots, 51 hits and a plus-8 rating through 46 appearances. Lyubushkin's career high in points is 15 from the 2021-22 campaign he split between the Coyotes and the Maple Leafs, and he's in a position to top that number in 2024-25.

Stars' Colin Blackwell: Pockets helper in win
Blackwell provided an assist and four shots on goal in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Red Wings.
Blackwell helped out on a Marej Blumel goal that opened the scoring 5:26 into the game. This was Blackwell's second helper over the last five contests. He remains in a fourth-line role, so his scoring contributions are likely to be limited. He's up to 10 points, 45 shots on net, 54 hits and a plus-2 rating through 41 appearances this season.

Stars' Miro Heiskanen: Adds power-play helper in win
Heiskanen logged a power-play assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Red Wings.
Heiskanen has picked up four points over 10 outings in January, with three of them coming on the power play. The 25-year-old defenseman is up to 21 points (seven on the power play), 104 shots on net, 78 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating over 46 appearances. Heiskanen's large role will help him maintain fantasy value, but his lack of consistency on offense has kept him from being among the truly elite blueliners this season.

Stars' Matt Duchene: Contributes pair of assists
Duchene logged two assists and three shots on goal in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Red Wings.
One of the helper came on the power play. Duchene has logged multiple points in back-to-back contests and three of his last four games. The 34-year-old center is getting back on track following a recent three-game dry spell. For the season, he's at an excellent 18 goals, 27 helpers, 15 power-play points, 84 shots on net and a plus-9 rating over 46 outings in a top-six role.

Stars' Matej Blumel: Scores first goal of season
Blumel scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Red Wings.
Blumel opened the scoring at 5:26 of the first period. It was the first point of the season at the NHL level for the 24-year-old forward, who has added 10 shots on net and six hits over six outings. Blumel is likely to continue filling in on the fourth line as long as Roope Hintz (upper body) is sidelined.

Stars' Mavrik Bourque: Deposits goal in Sunday's win
Bourque scored a goal and added two hits in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Red Wings.
Bourque has three goals and two assists over his last eight contests. He stretched the Stars' lead to 3-0 in this game. The 23-year-old rookie's up to 12 points, 43 shots on net, 20 hits and a minus-1 rating over 41 appearances this season. Bourque still has a decent amount of upside, but his level of production even recently makes him a fringe option in standard fantasy formats.

Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Tallies in win
Johnston scored a goal and added two hits in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Red Wings.
Johnston is up to a four-game point streak (one goal, five assists). The 21-year-old provided an insurance goal in the third period just a couple of minutes after Marco Kasper got the Red Wings on the board. For the season, Johnston has 11 goals, 36 points, 121 shots on net and a plus-5 rating through 46 appearances while functioning in a top-six role a majority of the time.

Stars' Jason Robertson: One of each in Sunday's win
Robertson scored a power-play goal on two shots and added an assist in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Red Wings.
This was Robertson's second multi-point effort in a row, and he has five goals and three assists during a five-game point streak. The winger's tally at 13:05 of the first period stood as the game-winner. Robertson is up to 15 goals, 42 points, 120 shots on net and a plus-2 rating over 46 appearances. He started the season slow, but he's been in great form for over a month and is pushing back toward the point-per-game mark.

Stars' Jake Oettinger: Stands tall in win
Oettinger allowed one goal on 34 shots in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Red Wings.
Oettinger's lone mistake was a puck that knuckled in after a low tip by Marco Kasper on Simon Edvinsson's shot attempt in the third period. The 26-year-old Oettinger has won seven of his last eight starts, and he's allowed exactly one goal in four of those games. He's up to 23-10-1 with a 2.26 GAA and a .914 save percentage over 34 starts this season. The American netminder is likely to get the starting nod again Tuesday in a tough home matchup versus the Hurricanes.

Stars' Jake Oettinger: Facing Detroit
Oettinger will protect the home crease Sunday against Detroit, Stars radio analyst Bruce LeVine reports.
Oettinger lost for the first time in the new calendar year Thursday against Montreal. The 26-year-old has a 5-1-0 record with a .923 save percentage and a 1.96 GAA through six appearances in January. Detroit sits 21st in the NHL with 2.87 goals per game. Both clubs are on the second half of a back-to-back.

Stars' Mason Marchment: Resumes skating
Head coach Pete DeBoer said Sunday that Marchment (face) has resumed skating, Brien Rea of FanDuel Sports Network Southwest reports.
Marchment will likely be out of game action until around the end of January after sustaining a facial injury in late December, but he appears to be trending in the right direction. The 29-year-old will presumably need to ramp up his activity level in the coming days before he's in the mix to suit up for the Stars.

Stars' Roope Hintz: Remains out for Sunday's game
Hintz (upper body) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Detroit, Brien Rea of FanDuel Sports Network Southwest reports.
Hintz will be unavailable for a third consecutive game due to his upper-body injury, but he has resumed skating. He should be considered day-to-day, and his next chance to suit up will be at home against the Hurricanes on Tuesday.

Stars' Ilya Lyubushkin: Garners helper
Lyubushkin notched an assist in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Avalanche.
Lyubushkin snapped a 10-game point drought when he helped out on the first of Jason Robertson's two goals in the contest. The 30-year-old Lyubushkin has held a steady spot on the Stars' blue line this year, but he offers little in the way of offense. He's at nine assists, 26 shots on net, 51 hits, 66 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating through 45 appearances, so he won't help in many fantasy formats.
... See More ... See Less -
Stars' Matt Duchene: Two power-play points in win
Duchene scored a goal and added an assist, both on the power play, in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Avalanche.
Duchene's consistency has dipped recently -- he has five points over his last six games despite getting on the scoresheet in just two of those contests. He tends to play well against the team that drafted him, earning 20 points over 18 career games against the Avalanche. The 34-year-old center has had a strong 2024-25 with 18 goals, 25 assists, 81 shots on net, 14 power-play points and a plus-8 rating through 45 appearances.

Stars' Casey DeSmith: Hit by Avalanche on Saturday
DeSmith made 30 saves Saturday in a 6-3 loss to Colorado.
DeSmith has surrendered nine goals in his last two starts, both losses, but before that, he had allowed just six goals in his previous four games, all wins. Dallas has hit a bit of a skid lately, but the team will rebound soon enough, which will put DeSmith back into a strong fantasy role for spot starts in daily.

Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Three-game, five-assist streak
Johnston delivered three assists Saturday in a 6-3 loss to Colorado.
His slowish start is behind him. Johnston has 16 points, including 12 assists, in his last 15 games after starting with 19 points in his first 30 contests. Most recently, he's also put up five assists over his last three games. Johnston's 8.3 shooting percentage is well below his 14.9 percent average over his previous two seasons. Expect to see a few more goals going forward (he has just 10 over 45 outings this season).

Stars' Jason Robertson: Four-game, six-point streak
Robertson had two goals and an assist in a 6-3 loss to the Avalanche on Saturday.
He scored the goals 39 seconds apart. Robertson's markers were the two fastest by a Dallas player since Nov. 26, 2021, when Joe Pavelski scored twice in 19 seconds. He has put his slow start behind him. Robertson is on a four-game, six-point streak (four goals, two assists), and he has 17 points, including seven goals, and 35 shots in his last 11 games. Overall, he has 40 points (14 goals, 26 assists) and 118 shots in 45 appearances, and he may be able to deliver another 80-point season if he can maintain a strong pace.
