Struble had the secondary helper on Joel Armia's third-period tally. It was the first point since Dec. 28 -- a span of 17 games -- for Struble, who has two goals and three assists in 34 contests. The assist probably didn't offset the defenseman's mistakes earlier in the game. Alexei Toropchenko deked around him 25 seconds into the game for St. Louis' first goal; later in the period, the defenseman was assessed a hooking penalty, on which the Blues needed just six seconds to capitalize when Jordan Kyrou scored the first of three St. Louis power-play goals and made it a 3-1 game.

Struble sent a puck toward the net that eventually found its way onto the stick of Mitchell Stephens, who potted the Canadiens' first goal. The assist gives Struble four points through 16 games. It's notable that Struble remained on the active roster while Johnny Kovacevic was a healthy scratch and Jordan Harris returned from a lower-body injury. Struble showed off his offense for the second time in three games. Struble scored his first NHL goal Saturday in a 3-2 shootout win over the Sabres.
Struble drove the net on a 4-on-4 rush and redirected Johnny Kovacevic's slap-pass past Devon Levi at 12:59 of the second period. Struble is an electric skater, and he loves to use his body. And he has a great shot. It seems like it will be hard to send him back to Laval with strong play like we've seen in his nine games.
