Senators' Adam Gaudette: Two points in preseason win
Gaudette scored a goal and an assist, both on the power play, in Tuesday's 4-3 preseason win over the Canadiens.
Brady Tkachuk and Tim Stutzle both left the game early due to upper-body injuries, which allowed Gaudette to get some extra time with the man advantage. The 27-year-old is on a two-way contract in his second stint with Ottawa after spending most of 2023-24 in the AHL, and if either or both of Tkachuk and Stutzle end up being sidelined for the start of the season, it would greatly improve Gaudette's chances of breaking camp on the NHL roster. Even in that scenario, however, he would be headed for a bottom-six role, and behind Josh Norris and Shane Pinto in the pecking order for power-play shifts.

Senators' Adam Gaudette: Signs two-way deal
Gaudette signed a one-year, two-way contract with Ottawa on Tuesday.
Gaudette accumulated 44 goals and 71 points in 67 regular-season contests for AHL Springfield in 2023-24. He notched four goals and 12 points in 50 regular-season appearances with Ottawa during the 2021-22 campaign. The 27-year-old forward will compete for a depth spot on the roster at training camp, but it wouldn't be surprising if he started 2024-25 in the minors.

Blues' Adam Gaudette: Returned to AHL
Gaudette was reassigned to AHL Springfield on Tuesday.
Gaudette moves back to the minor-league affiliate as the Blues are off until Feb. 10 for the All-Star break and bye week. He was healthy scratched for five straight games after playing in two contests following his Jan. 17 recall.

Gaudette was summoned from AHL Springfield on Wednesday.
Gaudette has 24 goals, 36 points and 31 PIM in 37 contests with Springfield this season. The Blues are expected to be without Kasperi Kapanen (lower body) for at least four weeks, so Gaudette might be with St. Louis for a significant period of time. It remains to be seen if the 27-year-old will draw into the lineup Thursday versus Washington, but there's a fair chance he'll make his Blues debut during this NHL stint. Should Gaudette play, it will likely be in a bottom-six capacity.

Blues' Adam Gaudette: Waived by Blues
Gaudette was placed on waivers Friday, Chris Johnston of TSN reports.
Gaudette is on a one-year, two-way contract with the Blues. He spent all of 2022-23 in the AHL, picking up 27 goals and 24 assists in 65 games split between Toronto and Springfield. Gaudette will head to the AHL should he clear waivers.

Blues' Adam Gaudette: Signs two-way contract
Gaudette, who was eligible to become a restricted free agent this summer, inked a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 at the NHL level with St. Louis on Wednesday, per Matthew DeFranks of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Gaudette had 27 goals and 51 points in 65 AHL contests with Toronto and Springfield in 2022-23. The 26-year-old forward has also contributed 27 goals and 70 points in 218 career NHL contests. St. Louis acquired Gaudette from the Maple Leafs on Feb. 17 as part of the Ryan O'Reilly trade.

Blues' Adam Gaudette: Dealt to Blues
Gaudette was traded along with Mikhail Abramov and three draft picks, including a 2023 first, from Toronto to St. Louis in exchange for Ryan O'Reilly and Noel Acciari on Friday.
Gaudette has over 200 games of NHL experience but he's playing exclusively at the AHL level this season. He's racked up 20 goals and 34 points in 40 games with AHL Toronto. The Blues will likely bring him up to the top level to fill the new holes in the roster.

Gaudette will likely be on the shortlist of potential call-ups this season after being waived Sunday.
Gaudette played in 58 games for the Senators and Blackhawks this past season in which he generated five goals, nine helpers and 94 shots. Given his NHL experience, 218 games over five seasons, Gaudette will likely be one of the first players promoted whenever a forward injury pops up.

Gaudette suffered a shoulder injury and won't be in attendance for practice Monday, Terry Koshan of The Toronto Sun reports.
Gaudette ended last season mired in a 35-game pointless streak, so fantasy players probably shouldn't be expecting much out of him heading into the 2022-23 campaign, assuming he is fit enough for Opening Night against Montreal. Even if given the all-clear, Gaudette is far from guaranteed for regular lineup appearances and may have to watch from the press box periodically as a healthy scratch.

Gaudette assisted on each of Tyler Ennis' first two goals of the game, but Ennis didn't need Gaudette's help to finish off the hat trick in the final minute. While he's been a healthy scratch on occasion, Gaudette has been reasonably productive when inserted into the lineup, with three goals and five assists in 16 games.

Gaudette made an impact in the third period, sparking the Senators' comeback with a goal. He also set up Alex Formenton on a game-tying tally. Gaudette had missed nine of the last 11 games either as a healthy scratch or due to illness, but he was solid in his return to action in place of Scott Sabourin (finger).
