Nyquist signed a two-year, $6.37 million contract with Nashville on Saturday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Nyquist compiled 11 goals, 27 points and 102 shots on net in 51 games between Columbus and Minnesota last season. He could be a solid fit alongside Filip Forsberg on the top line of the Predators.

Nyquist hasn't played since late January due to an upper-body injury, but it sounds like he's probably at least gotten to the point in his recovery where he can be considered day-to-day moving forward. The 33-year-old vet collected 22 points through 48 contests with Columbus before being traded to Minnesota on Feb. 28. He'll likely slot into a middle-six role whenever he's cleared to make his Wild debut.

Nyquist (upper body) hasn't begun skating yet but will travel with the team to meet his new teammates, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports Monday.
Nyquist was originally ruled out for the remainder of the regular season, so fantasy players shouldn't be expecting him back until closer to the playoffs. Still, the fact that Minnesota traded for the winger should be a good indication they are at least expecting him to be ready to play at some point.

Nyquist is finding his groove; he's posted a helper in three straight games and his six shots against the Blackhawks stand as a new season high. He hasn't produced any power-play points, despite being on the No. 1 unit, but then again, Columbus is ranked 30th in the league with a paltry 15.6 power-play percentage. More team support could go a long way for Nyquist as he looks to extend his streak against the Sabres on Tuesday.
