  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Ends season quietly

Warren rushed the ball two times for six yards in Saturday's 28-14 loss to the Ravens. He added four receptions on five targets for 19 yards. The Steelers attempted only 11 total rushes for the game as they were chasing points, though Warren was still outtouched 9-6 and outgained in terms of scrimmage yards 58-25 by Najee Harris. It was a disappointing close to a primarily disappointing season for Warren, as he was derailed by injury for the first six games of the campaign and then worked behind Harris in most games thereafter. Warren will be a restricted free agent this offseason and should have a strong chance of being retained by the Steelers. With Harris a free agent, it's also possible that Warren will be in line for an expanded role with the team in 2025.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Takes back seat to Harris

Warren rushed the ball six times for 21 yards in Saturday's 19-17 loss to the Bengals. He did not record a catch on one target. Warren had been chipping into the role of Najee Harris in recent weeks, though he was out-touched 15-6 by Harris in Saturday's loss. Warren's lack of volume was also the result of game script, as the Steelers' running backs accounted for only four total carries in the final two quarters of the contest as they played from behind. Warren will likely serve as the change-of-pace back in Pittsburgh's opening-round playoff matchup against the Ravens or Texans.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: RBs to Start

Warren is dealing with a rib injury, which is something to keep an eye on, but hopefully, he plays Saturday against the Bengals. I like Warren and Najee Harris as the No. 2 running backs in this game, but I have Warren ranked higher if he's healthy. He's played more snaps than Harris in each of the past four games, and Warren has more touches in the past two outings (33-26). Warren has scored at least 14.2 PPR points in each game over that span, and he has 10 catches for 85 yards and 11 targets against Baltimore and Kansas City. Harris only has three catches for 14 yards on six targets in his past four games, but he was great against the Bengals in Week 13 with 24.9 PPR points. Warren scored 10.4 PPR points against Cincinnati, and eight running backs have reached that mark in the past seven games against the Bengals. This should be a productive game for Warren and Harris in Week 18.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Logs full practice Wednesday

Warren (ribs) practiced fully Wednesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports. Warren was deemed a limited participant in practice Tuesday, but the running back's return to a full session a day later paves the way for him to be available Saturday against the Bengals. As a result, Warren should continue to work in a backfield timeshare with Najee Harris. Over the last two contests, Warren has logged 23 carries and 10 catches, while Harris has recorded 22 carries and two catches in that span.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Nursing rib injury

Warren was a limited participant in practice Tuesday due to an injury to his ribs, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports. Even though the Steelers have a longer turnaround for the regular-season finale after playing on Christmas Day in Week 17, Warren is a bit banged up after he took on 16 touches (11 carries, five catches) in Pittsburgh's 29-10 loss to Kansas City. Provided Warren is able to advance to full participation in practice by Thursday, he should head into Saturday's contest without a designation. While Najee Harris should continue to start Saturday, Warren has out-touched him in the last two contests by 17-9 and 16-15 margins, though negative game scripts were a factor on both occasions.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Tops century mark in loss

Warren carried the ball 11 times for 71 yards and caught five of six targets for 41 yards in Wednesday's 29-10 loss to Kansas City. He topped 100 scrimmage yards for the first time this season, but Najee Harris finished with two more totes and three more rushing yards. Warren has seen his workload increase the last two weeks, and while the Steelers lost both games, that can hardly be pinned on the third-year back, who had a first-quarter touchdown run wiped out by a holding penalty Wednesday. Warren will look to wrap up the regular season in style in a Week 18 clash with the Bengals.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Works as lead back in Week 16

Warren rushed the ball 12 times for 48 yards in Saturday's 34-17 loss to the Ravens. He added five receptions on five targets for 44 yards. Warren has had inconsistent usage throughout the season, almost always working behind Najee Harris and even behind Cordarrelle Patterson on occasion. However, Warren led the backfield in Saturday's loss, totaling 17 touches compared to nine for Harris. He was particularly effective as a pass catcher, tallying long gains of 13 and 12 yards. It's unclear whether this usage will carry forward, though Harris has struggled with inefficiency for the last several weeks.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Sleeper RBs

Warren is worth using as a flex option in Week 15 at Philadelphia since he has scored at least 9.2 PPR points in five games in a row. The Eagles run defense is tough, but five running backs in the past four games have scored at least 13.2 PPR points. And in the past five weeks, Philadelphia is No. 6 in most receptions allowed to running backs with 24, and four running backs over that span have at least 5.5 PPR points against the Eagles with just their receiving totals alone.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Productive in victory

Warren carried the ball nine times for 47 yards while securing two of five targets for 25 yards during Sunday's 27-14 win over the Browns. Warren was on the field for 52 percent of the Steelers' offensive snaps Sunday, outpacing Najee Harris' 42 percent and Cordarrelle Patterson's 14 percent. Warren responded by topping 50 yards from scrimmage for a seventh consecutive game, but Harris was the only Pittsburgh back to reach the end zone with a one-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. Warren has carved out a somewhat consistent fantasy role, but his ceiling is limited as long as he's sharing the backfield with Harris.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Sleeper RBs

I like Najee Harris as a No. 2 running back in all leagues in Week 14 against the Browns, but Harris is also worth using as at least a flex, especially in PPR. He scored at least 10.4 PPR points in three games in a row, and in Week 12 at Cleveland, he had his best game of the season with 15.4 PPR points. The Browns have allowed eight rushing touchdowns in their past four games, and three running backs over that span have scored at least 12.9 PPR points.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Productive as receiver

Warren rushed the ball three times for nine yards in Sunday's 44-38 win over the Bengals. He added four receptions on four targets for 55 yards. Warren seemed to be gaining momentum in the Pittsburgh backfield entering Sunday's matchup, but he was oddly uninvolved as a rusher. He managed to save his day as a pass catcher, tallying long gains of 29 and 14 yards. Despite that positive work, it will be difficult to trust Warren in fantasy lineups given his inconsistent usage.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Records rushing TD in loss

Warren rushed 11 times for 45 yards and a touchdown and brought in three of five targets for 19 yards in the Steelers' 24-19 loss to the Browns on Thursday night. He also returned one kickoff for 26 yards. Warren logged five fewer carries than Najee Harris but was more efficient with his opportunities, averaging 4.1 yards per attempt to his teammate's 2.6. Warren also recorded his first rushing touchdown of the season on a three-yard run just before the midway point of the fourth quarter, and he's now recorded over 40 rushing yards in four straight games while tallying multiple receptions in five consecutive contests as well. Warren next takes aim at the Bengals' inconsistent defense in a Week 13 road matchup on Sunday, Dec. 1.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Good to go Sunday

Warren (back) is active for Sunday's game against the Ravens, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports. Warren sat out practice Thursday with the injury and then was a limited participant Friday, prompting the Steelers to list him as questionable heading into the weekend. Though Pittsburgh signed another running back (Jonathan Ward) to its 53-man roster Saturday, his addition looks to have been mostly precautionary, as he'll be inactive for the contest with Warren getting the green light to play. Despite the missed practice this week, Warren should be ready to handle his usual duties as the Steelers' No. 2 back behind starter Najee Harris. Warren has earned at least nine touches in each of his last four appearances, but he has yet to find the end zone in any of his seven total outings so far this season.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Likely to play Sunday

Warren (back) remains listed as questionable but is expected to play Sunday against the Ravens, barring a pregame setback, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. After sitting out practice Thursday, Warren was able to get in a limited session Friday before taking a designation into the weekend. In a big AFC North divisional tilt, Warren sounds like he's going to be able to play and help spell starter Najee Harris out of Pittsburgh's backfield. Warren is averaging 9.9 touches per game this season but has yet to score a touchdown.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Added to injury report

Warren didn't practice Thursday due to a back issue, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports. Warren wasn't listed Wednesday, so his addition to the Steelers' Week 11 injury report a day later is something to monitor ahead of Sunday's game against the Ravens. Meanwhile, fellow running back Najee Harris, who missed Wednesday's practice with an ankle concern, returned to full participation Thursday.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Week 10 Adds (RB Preview)

Jaylen Warren is projected for 8.7 Fantasy points in Week 10. That makes him my RB31 for the week and the best option available off the waiver wire at this position. The Commanders have allowed a league-worst 5.2 yards per carry to running backs this season, and Warren has seen three targets in each of his last three games, so there is a path to double-digit points in full PPR.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Sleeper RBs

Najee Harris is establishing himself as a quality No. 2 running back in all leagues with his performance in the past two games against the Raiders and Jets, but Warren is worth using as a flex option against the Giants in Week 8. Warren had a solid outing in Week 7 against the Jets with 12 carries for 44 yards and two catches for 15 yards on three targets, and he appears finally over the knee injury that knocked him out for two games prior to Week 6. Harris also should benefit with Russell Wilson starting for the Steelers, and the Giants have allowed six running backs to score at least 13.1 PPR points this season.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Questionable for Sunday

Coach Mike Tomlin said Friday that Warren (knee) will be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports. Per Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com, Warren was able to practice fully Friday, which gives him a chance to suit up this weekend after being viewed as doubtful earlier this week. The Steelers kick off at 4:05 p.m. ET on Sunday, so ideally those inclined to consider him in fantasy lineups will have more context regarding his status prior to the first wave of kickoffs.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Remains limited at practice

Warren (knee) remained limited at practice Thursday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official reports. Per Missi Matthews of the team's official site, coach Mike Tomlin indicated earlier this week that Warren was doubtful for Sunday's game against the Raiders, but the running back's limited participation Wednesday and Thursday offers some hope that he could be available this weekend. In any case, Friday's final injury report will clarify Warren's official Week 6 designation.

  • Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Limited in practice Wednesday

Warren (knee) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports. Head coach Mike Tomlin previously labeled Warren as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Raiders, but the running back's involvement in practice in some fashion a day later is at least a positive development. Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle) has already been ruled out for Sunday, so Warren would return to a complementary role behind top back Najee Harris if Warren is able to make a surprise return in Las Vegas.
