  • Browns' Elijah Moore: May move into pivotal role Week 14

Moore could emerge as Cleveland's top wideout Sunday against Jacksonville with Amari Cooper's (concussion) status uncertain for the Week 14 contest, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.

Moore had his best game of the season against the Rams in Week 13, as he turned in a 4-83-0 receiving line on a season-high 12 targets. Those 12 targets went for 255 air yards, as Cooper's absence coupled with the presence of a strong-armed veteran quarterback in Joe Flacco -- who played with Moore on the Jets in the previous two seasons -- resulted in Moore garnering more downfield looks. If Cooper is unable to clear the five-step concussion protocol this week, Moore should be locked in as the Browns' No. 1 wideout against the Jaguars, and he could get the opportunity to continue to work with Flacco. Dorian Thompson-Robinson had started the Browns' previous two games before sitting out Week 13 with a concussion of his own, but he may not reclaim the top gig at quarterback if head coach Kevin Stefanski decides Flacco is better suited for the job on the heels of a solid showing against the Rams. If Stefanski decides to hand the job back to Thompson-Robinson, the Browns could lean more on a run-centric game plan that might hinder Moore's fantasy prospects, regardless of whether Cooper plays or not.

  • Browns' Elijah Moore: Leading receiver against Rams

Moore caught four of 12 targets for 83 yards in Sunday's 36-19 loss to the Rams.

The third-year wideout emerged as Joe Flacco's favorite target after Amari Cooper (concussion) left the game in the second quarter. He and Flacco have a brief history together when the two played for the Jets in 2021 and 2022. While Moore wasn't efficient with his looks, he still set a new season high in receiving yards. There's no guarantee Flacco gets another start if Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion) clears the league's protocol ahead of a Week 14 meeting with the Jaguars, nor that Cooper will remain sidelined. While Moore's performance was somewhat encouraging, he remains a very volatile fantasy option.

  • Browns' Elijah Moore: Does little with targets Sunday

Moore caught three of nine targets for 44 yards in Sunday's 29-12 loss to the Broncos.

He tied tight end David Njoku for the lead in targets among Browns players, but Moore finished only fourth in catches and third in receiving yards. The former Jet has yet to top 60 receiving yards in a game for his new squad and has only one TD in 11 contests, and Cleveland's uncertain QB situation -- rookie starter Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion) was replaced by PJ Walker in the third quarter -- leaves Moore with little fantasy appeal heading into a Week 13 clash with the Rams.

  • Browns' Elijah Moore: Opens game-winning drive

Moore caught six of seven targets for 60 yards in Sunday's 13-10 win over Pittsburgh.

In a defensive affair, Moore led all pass catchers from either side with a season-high 60 receiving yards, including a 15-yard grab from rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson that kicked off the drive that led to the game-winning field goal. Sunday's game plan in the absence of Deshaun Watson (shoulder) called for a lot of short passes, which benefited Moore out of the slot, and the usual reliance on the running backs. As DTR grows more comfortable under center, perhaps head coach Kevin Stefanski will open up the playbook. Cleveland added Joe Flacco to its practice squad this week, and his experienced arm could be a factor later in the season if the rookie falters.

  • Browns' Elijah Moore: First touchdown with Browns

Moore recorded five receptions on seven targets for 44 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 33-31 win over the Ravens.

Moore has at least seven targets in six of nine games this season, yet he has topped 50 yards just once. However, he recorded his highest reception total since Week 3 and also managed his first touchdown of the campaign on a 10-yard catch midway through the fourth quarter amid the Browns' dramatic comeback. While Moore has one of the more predictable roles in the Browns offense, he has proven to have very little upside.
