Craig James: Cut with NFI designation
James (undisclosed) was cut with a non-football injury designation by the Jets on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network reports.
James got a look from the Jets after being cut by the Eagles earlier in July, but he was unable to stick with New York heading into training camp. The cornerback will look to heal from his injury before trying to earn a spot somewhere in camp.

Craig James: Let go by Philly
James was cut by the Eagles on Monday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
James spent the majority of last season on the Eagles' practice squad and never suited up for a game. However, he did appear in 18 games over the previous two seasons for the team, making 17 tackles. The 26-year-old now will work to catch on elsewhere.

Craig James: Comes off COVID list
The Eagles activated James (undisclosed) from the practice squad reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday.
James has yet to suit up for an NFL game this season, but he can now resume participating in practice squad activities. From 2019-20, the cornerback dressed for 18 games with Philadelphia.

Craig James: Waived by Eagles
James was waived by the Eagles on Tuesday, EJ Smith of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
James appeared in four games with the Eagles last year but was placed on injured reserve in mid-November and missed the remainder of the season. The 25-year-old has appeared in 21 games across the last three seasons but didn't appear in any of Philadelphia's three preseason games in 2021.

Eagles' Craig James: Shifts to IR
James (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve Monday, Chris McPherson of the Eagles' official site reports.
James was unavailable for Philadelphia's Nov. 1 matchup against the Cowboys because of a hamstring injury, and he was once again made inactive ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Giants, though this time with a shoulder issue. The cornerback suffered the shoulder injury this past week, and now he will be unavailable for at least three games with his IR designation. James has been used primarily on special teams this season, fielding 80 snaps in that department to just 14 on the defensive side.

Eagles' Craig James: Will miss second consecutive game
James (shoulder) has been ruled out of Sunday's game versus the Giants.
James missed the Eagles' last game due to a hamstring injury, and while he shook off that issue, the 24-year-old cornerback picked up a shoulder injury and missed practice Thursday and Friday. His absence will mainly affect the team's secondary depth, and he'll look to heal up for next week's clash against Cleveland.

The Eagles will likely bring up a cornerback from the practice squad because Cre'von LeBlanc (quadriceps) has also been ruled out, leaving just Darius Slay, Avonte Maddox and Nickell Robey-Coleman as the healthy cornerbacks. James will look to return in a game against the Giants following the team's Week 9 bye.
