Daylen Baldwin: Reaches injury settlement
The Browns waived Baldwin (hamstring) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Baldwin reverted to the Browns' injured reserve list after clearing waivers and was slated to miss the entire 2023 campaign. However, the 2022 UDFA is now free to sign a new contract once he's able to pass a physical. Baldwin is expected to need 6-to-8 weeks to recover following surgery, and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that Cleveland would be interested in re-signing the Michigan product when he's back to full strength.

Baldwin (hamstring) reverted to injured reserve Saturday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Baldwin tore a small tendon behind his knee which will require surgery, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. The injury typically takes 6-to-8 weeks to recover from, and Cleveland is expected to offer Baldwin an injury settlement, as opposed to keeping him on IR for the remainder of the season, with hopes to then re-sign him, Pelissero adds.

Coach Kevin Stefanski said Friday that Baldwin (hamstring) will miss time with a "significant" injury, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Baldwin was injured early in the first half of Thursday night's Hall of Fame Game versus the Jets. It's a tough blow for Baldwin after he'd been making noise in Browns camp with Amari Cooper missing practice time. Baldwin had been seeing reps with the first-team offense.

Baldwin signed with Cleveland in August as an undrafted rookie out of Michigan. The 6-foot-2 receiver was then waived as part of the team's final roster cuts and spent the season on the practice squad, though he was elevated for the Week 15 loss to Buffalo. Baldwin finished his rookie campaign with two receptions for 25 yards, and it appears he showed enough with his limited opportunities to earn a new deal heading into the offseason.

Baldwin spent the first 14 weeks of the season on Cleveland's practice squad before receiving his first game-day activation with David Bell (thumb/toe) and Jaelon Darden (coach's decision) both inactive Saturday against Baltimore. As a result, the practice-squad wideout went on to play 12 offensive snaps behind Donovan Peoples-Jones (51), Amari Cooper (48) and Michael Woods (41), and ahead of Demetric Felton (four). Baldwin also caught both of his targets for 25 yards during this limited playing time. The 23-year-old will now be eligible for two more elevations from the practice squad this season.
