  • Bears' Logan Stenberg: Claimed by Chicago

The Bears claimed Stenberg off waivers from the Lions on Friday.

A 2020 fourth-round pick by Detroit, Stenberg appeared in 16 games (four starts) for the Lions last year. He was competing for a backup role again in 2023 but got let go ahead of the team's first preseason game. Nonetheless, Stenberg has quickly found a new home with a divisional foe and will look to carve out a role with his new squad over the final weeks of training camp.

Stenberg was waived by the Lions on Thursday.

Stenberg appeared in 16 games (four starts) for Detroit last season and was originally a fourth-round pick in 2020. He'll now have to find a new opportunity after seeing his time with the Lions come to an end.

  • Lions' Logan Stenberg: Looking good during offseason work

Stenberg (undisclosed) has been a full participant during offseason work, Nick Baumgardner of the Athletic reports.

Stenberg finished last season on IR due to an undisclosed injury, but he appears to be heathy heading into 2022. The 2020 fourth-round pick has impressed his teammates by playing hard during minicamp, but he still has a lot to prove if he wants to earn a starting spot next season.

  • Lions' Logan Stenberg: Lands on IR

The Lions placed Stenberg (undisclosed) on injured reserve Monday.

Stenberg will be sidelined for at least three weeks with the move to injured reserve. The Lions will likely have to add some depth to their offensive line, as Ryan McCollum and Will Holden are the only healthy backup offensive linemen on Detroit's active roster.

  • Lions' Logan Stenberg: Not on injury report

Stenberg (knee) isn't listed on Wednesday's injury report.

Stenberg sustained a "low-grade sprain" of his MCL during the preseason finale, but he apparently recovered quickly since he's absent from the injury report. The 2020 fourth-round pick is expected to fill a reserve role at guard for Detroit.

  • Lions' Logan Stenberg: Minor knee injury

Coach Dan Campbell said Monday that Stenberg sustained an MCL "low-grade sprain" during Detroit's preseason finale against the Colts, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.

Stenberg, a 2020 fourth-round pick, is expected to be ready to resume practicing by the end of the week. When healthy, he stands to resume operating as a backup guard along Detroit's offensive line.
