  • Raiders' DeAndre Carter: Totals 494 return yards in 2023

Carter caught four passes for 39 yards on seven targets and rushed three times for 18 yards in 17 games during the 2023 season. He also returned 24 punts for 232 yards and 11 kicks for 262 yards. Carter, who'll turn 31 years old in April, served primarily as a return man in his first season with the Raiders, logging just 102 total offensive snaps. The journeyman wide receiver is set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2024, so it's uncertain that he'll be back as a specialist in Las Vegas.

  • Raiders' DeAndre Carter: Gets two snaps on offense Week 14

Carter played two of the Raiders' 54 snaps on offense in Monday's 3-0 loss to the Vikings and returned one kickoff for 16 yards and four punts for 39 yards. After establishing career highs with 44 catches and 538 receiving yards in 17 games with the Chargers in 2022, Carter has barely factored into the Raiders' plans at receiver upon joining the club on a one-year deal this offseason. He's been active for all 13 of Las Vegas' games, but he's produced a 3-36-0 receiving line on six targets while playing just 88 snaps on offense. Carter is still locked in as the Raiders' top kickoff and punt returner, but any opportunities he might earn on offense are likely tied to the health of Las Vegas' top three wideouts (Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers and Hunter Renfrow).

  • Raiders' DeAndre Carter: Racks up 74 return yards Sunday

Carter rushed once for 15 yards in Sunday's 16-12 win over the Jets. He also returned three punts for 49 yards and one kickoff for 25 yards. Carter continues to get a majority of his work in the return game, playing just seven offensive snaps for the Raiders on Sunday Night Football. His 15-yard run was good enough to move the chains on a fourth-and-one from Las Vegas' own 44-yard line in the fourth quarter, but Carter's touch volume figures to remain limited against the Dolphins in Week 11.

  • Raiders' DeAndre Carter: Targeted once in loss

Carter was unable to haul in his only target in Sunday's 38-10 loss to the Bills. Carter returned one kickoff for 23 yards, but he logged just nine offensive snaps despite fellow receiver Jakobi Meyers (concussion) missing the contest. Davante Adams left early with a possible concussion of his own Sunday, so the Raiders could be even thinner at the position against the Steelers in Week 3. If Meyers and Adams remain sidelined, Carter might see additional work alongside Hunter Renfrow, Kristian Wilkerson and Tre Tucker.

  • Raiders' DeAndre Carter: Healthy for Week 2 unlike Meyers

Carter (knee) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game in Buffalo, while fellow receiver Jakobi Meyers (concussion) has been ruled out. Carter trended in the right direction all week, upgrading to limited participation Thursday after missing Wednesday's practice, and practicing fully Friday to shed the injury designation. In addition to returning kickoffs and punts on special teams, Carter's a candidate to see increased action alongside Davante Adams in Meyers' absence, though Hunter Renfrow, Kristian Wilkerson and Tre Tucker could also earn more attention from quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo against the Bills.

  • Raiders' DeAndre Carter: Mixes into practice Thursday

Carter (knee) was a limited participant at practice Thursday ahead of Sunday's game at Buffalo. It's a step in the right direction towards being able to suit up for Week 2 after Carter missed practice entirely Wednesday. With No. 2 wideout Jakobi Meyers dealing with a concussion, Carter could potentially be set for increased playing time on offense against the Bills in addition to his return duties.

  • Raiders' DeAndre Carter: Sits out practice Wednesday

Carter (knee) didn't participate in practice Wednesday. Carter dealt with a knee issue throughout last week, logging a trio of limited practices. He was able to play against Denver on Sunday, however, finishing with nine offensive snaps and catching his only target for five yards. It's not a promising sign that the offseason acquisition is beginning this week with a DNP, though he'll have two days to get back on the practice field ahead of Sunday's contest in Buffalo.

  • Raiders' DeAndre Carter: One catch in season opener

Carter caught his lone target for five yards in Sunday's 17-16 win over the Broncos. Carter's only catch in the season opener came on the Raiders' final drive of the contest, and he ultimately played just 10 snaps on offense. Fellow receivers Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers combined for 147 yards and two touchdowns on 15 receptions, but the latter sustained a head injury and will need to clear the NFL's concussion protocol in order to suit up against the Bills in Week 2. If Meyers remains sidelined, Carter and Hunter Renfrow could see their roles expand.

  • Raiders' DeAndre Carter: Available for Week 1

Carter (knee) is active for Sunday's matchup against the Broncos. Carter was deemed questionable for the season opener due to a knee injury that popped up Wednesday, but he'll be good to go. With the Chargers last year, Carter caught 46 of 65 targets for 538 yards and three scores, but he's behind Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers and Hunter Renfrow in Las Vegas. However, Carter is expected to handle both punt and kick returns for the Raiders.

  • Raiders' DeAndre Carter: Questionable for Week 1

Carter (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports. The veteran wideout and return man was limited in practice all week. Carter set career highs as a receiver with the Chargers last season, turning 65 targets into a 46/538/3 line. He's slated to be a depth piece on offense in Las Vegas this year.

  • Raiders' DeAndre Carter: Dealing with knee injury

Carter (knee) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Rachel Gossen of the Raiders' official site reports. It's a new issue for Carter, whose status for Week 1 now appears to be in jeopardy. If the vet misses any time, Las Vegas will probably lean that much harder on Hunter Renfrow to run out of the slot.

  • Chargers' DeAndre Carter: Injures ankle Saturday

Carter sustained an ankle injury during Saturday's wild-card contest at Jacksonville. Before his departure in the second quarter, Carter reeled in two of three targets for 17 yards. With Mike Williams (back) inactive Saturday and Jalen Guyton (knee) on injured reserve, Keenan Allen, Joshua Palmer and Michael Bandy are the only healthy wide receivers on the Chargers' active roster.

  • Chargers' DeAndre Carter: Solid in finale

Carter caught three of his five targets for 43 yards and also lost a fumble during the 31-28 loss to the Broncos on Sunday. Carter had his most productive performance since Week 13, filling in for Mike Williams, who left the game early with a back injury. The 29-year-old finished second on the team in receiving yards behind Keenan Allen but also had a costly fumble in the third quarter.

  • Chargers' DeAndre Carter: Next to nothing once again

Carter caught one of his two targets for 15 yards in the 17-14 win over the Titans on Sunday. He also lost 10 yards on his lone carry. Carter has played a combined 28 offensive snaps since the return of both Mike Williams and Keenan Allen. At this point, the speedster's value lies solely in leagues that also account for return yardage, as Carter tallied a combined 70 yards on kick and punt returns.

  • Chargers' DeAndre Carter: Limited to 12 offensive snaps

Carter recorded one reception for no gain on two targets in Sunday's 23-17 win over the Dolphins. The return of Mike Williams (ankle) officially ended any sort of fantasy viability for Carter, who played just 12 offensive snaps after playing at least 40 since Week 2. Expect Carter to make noise simply as the team's returner moving forward.

  • Chargers' DeAndre Carter: Quiet in loss

Carter caught one of his two targets for 14 yards during Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Raiders. Carter set a new season low for both targets and catches and failed to surpass 20 yards receiving for the fourth time this year. Despite coming off his best game of the season and Justin Herbert throwing the ball 47 times, the 29-year-old receiver was unable to get involved in the passing game. With both a tough matchup against the Dolphins and Mike Williams (ankle) potentially returning this week, Carter's production should not be expected to increase.

  • Chargers' DeAndre Carter: Week 13 Waiver Priority List

Carter should only be trusted if Mike Williams (ankle) remains out, but he's done well of late for the Chargers and Fantasy managers. He just had seven catches for 73 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets in Week 12 at Arizona, and he now has at least 16 PPR points in two of his past three games. With Keenan Allen back, Carter has spent more time outside, and that's helped his production in recent weeks. He'll fall to No. 4 on the depth chart when Williams is healthy behind Allen and Josh Palmer also, but if Williams can't play against the Raiders in Week 13 then I like Carter as a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in the majority of leagues. He's worth adding for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Chargers' DeAndre Carter: Still factor in passing game

Carter caught all three of his targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 30-27 loss to the Chiefs. The return of Keenan Allen and Mike Williams figured to relegate Carter back to his return duties, but the speedy receiver immediately returned to a prominent role after Williams suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter. Expect Carter to continue to be a mainstay in the Chargers' three-wideout packages until the duo of Allen and Williams is completely healthy.

  • Chargers' DeAndre Carter: Good to go for Week 11

Carter (ribs) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game versus the Chiefs. With both Keenan Allen (hamstring) and Mike Williams (ankle) sidelined the last two contests, Carter put up a combined 9-117-1 line on 10 targets while playing at least 82 percent of the offensive snaps. Carter joined his fellow wide receivers on Week 11 injury reports, going LP/LP/FP (like Allen and Williams) due to a rib injury. While Carter has been cleared to play this weekend, Allen and Williams are questionable. As a result, if one or both happen to sit out again Sunday, Carter could be in line for another decent dose of passes from quarterback Justin Herbert.

  • Chargers' DeAndre Carter: Week 10 Adds (WR Preview)

If Mike Williams and Keenan Allen are both out again this week, Carter will be a No. 3 wide receiver with more upside than he showed in Week 9.
