McCray was signed by the Panthers on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
McCray spent the past two years with Texans and logged two starts in 2022. The 30-year-old has played every position on the offensive line at some point in his career, and while it remains to be seen if he will have a chance to compete for a starting job this season, McCray will still bring solid value as a versatile blocker.

McCray was sidelined for Houston's Week 9 loss to the Eagles due to a concussion he picked up a week prior. However, he appears to have cleared the league's protocols and, barring a setback, is on track to suit up against the Giants on Sunday.

McCray didn't return to Sunday's game against the Titans since he was being evaluated for a concussion, Deepi Sidhu of the Texans' official site reports.
McCray started at right guard Sunday since A.J. Cann (illness) was unavailable, but he was unable to return to the game due to his head injury. If he's diagnosed with a concussion, he'll have to clear the league's protocols if he hopes to play Thursday against the Eagles.
