The Bears have lost WR Alshon Jeffery from four to six weeks due to a fracture in his right hand, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. Jeffery has 14 catches for 184 yards and two touchdowns. He had been first in the NFC in receiving yards heading into last week's game. Jeffery suffered the injury on his 10-yard, fourth-quarter TD catch.

Coach Lovie Smith said he's hoping to get WR Earl Bennett back from a hand injury in two weeks for the Monday night game against Detroit, which would solve some of the depth problem at the position.

It would seem unlikely the team would go outside the organization for help at receiver considering Jeffery will return and WR Eric Weems and WR Dane Sanzenbacher are experienced receivers and haven't had a chance to do much.
One thing Jeffery brings that the Bears can't find in their other wideouts besides Brandon Marshall is the ability to elevate in the red zone.
