Young (calf) will suit up for Saturday's game versus the Pacers. Young was initially listed as questionable on the Hawks' injury report, but the star guard's calf looks to be doing well enough for him to give it a go in the front end of the back-to-back set Saturday and Sunday. While Young will join in on the festivities Saturday, it will also be worth monitoring his status ahead of Sunday's clash with the Grizzlies.... See More ... See Less

Hawks' Trae Young: Questionable for Saturday
Young is questionable for Saturday's game against the Pacers due to a left calf contusion, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Young is in danger of missing his first game since Feb. 4, but his potential absence could simply be a maintenance day with the Hawks' set for a back-to-back this weekend. The severity of the calf issue remains unclear, but he appeared fine during Wednesday's one-point loss to Minnesota, totaling 29 points (6-16 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 14-16 FT), eight assists, two rebounds and a steal in 32 minutes.... Hawks' Trae Young: Comes close to double-double
Young closed Wednesday's 125-124 loss to Minnesota with 29 points (6-16 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 14-16 FT), eight assists, two rebounds and one steal over 32 minutes. Playing without backcourt mate Dejounte Murray (illness) for the second game in a row, Young maintained a lofty 38.7 percent usage rate, more than five points above his season-long number. The increased touches allowed Young to post a gaudy line, though it came with inefficient shooting from the field. Young is in the midst of a solid run of play in which he's scored at least 25 points in all but one of his last nine outings, while shooting a magnificent 43.9 percent from downtown.... See More ... Hawks' Trae Young: Big double-double against Detroit
Young provided 30 points (7-19 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 13-15 FT), three rebounds and 12 assists over 30 minutes during Tuesday's 129-107 victory over the Pistons. After scoring just nine points in Sunday's loss to the Spurs, Young bounced back to reach the 30-point mark for the third time in the last five games. He's also dished double-digit assists six times in 10 March contests, averaging 25.2 points, 9.7 assists, 4.0 boards, 2.5 threes and 1.5 steals so far on the month.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trae Young: Struggles shooting while banged up
Young racked up nine points (4-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 0-2 FT), four rebounds and six assists in 29 minutes during Sunday's 126-118 loss to the Spurs. Young entered the game dealing with some knee issues but still took the court Sunday for Atlanta. Young struggled from the field, connecting on 26.7 percent of his shots while failing to reach a double-digit scoring total. Young has failed to score in double figures twice this season, with the other game coming March 4 against Miami when Young scored a season-low eight points.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trae Young: Available to play
Young (knee) is available to play Sunday against the Spurs, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Young will power through the ankle issue, and there's been no word on him having any restrictions, so feel free to fire him up for Sunday's matinee. With Young active, Aaron Holiday is no longer an attractive streaming option.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trae Young: Questionable Sunday
Young is questionable for Sunday's game against the Spurs due to a bruised right knee, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Young has been on a roll, posting at least 25 points and seven assists in six straight games. If he misses his first game since Feb. 4, new head coach Quin Snyder could give more minutes to Aaron Holiday, Bogdan Bogdanovic and AJ Griffin.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trae Young: Drops 41 in blowout loss
Young accumulated 41 points (15-25 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 10-10 FT), seven assists, six rebounds and one steal across 34 minutes during Monday's 136-115 loss to the Timberwolves. Young was the lone bright spot for the Hawks on a forgettable night. The point guard has been lighting it up of late, going over the 30-point mark in consecutive games and averaging 31.4 in the last five contests. Unfortunately, his teammates struggled Monday, knocking down just four of 22 three-pointers, which contributed to Young's more modest assist output than usual.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trae Young: Posts massive double-double in loss
Young finished Saturday's 134-125 loss to the Celtics with 35 points (12-27 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 7-7 FT), 13 assists and three rebounds across 34 minutes. Because he shot just 44.4 percent from the field on heavy volume and didn't contribute in the defensive categories, Young's fantasy line was more valuable in points leagues, but even the point guard's managers in category leagues had to be pleased with the big production in points and assists. Heading into Saturday, Young had averaged 2.6 steals over his previous five contests, but that level of output was never expected to be sustainable for a player who's averaging a more modest 1.1 steals per game on the season.... Hawks' Trae Young: Lands six triples in victory
Young produced 28 points (9-19 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, nine assists and two steals over 33 minutes during Friday's 114-107 win over the Wizards. Young posted six triples en route to a game-high 28 points, his highest tally from the perimeter in almost two months. While it has been a somewhat underwhelming season for Young, he continues to be an elite source of points and assists. Although his three-point production has fallen, he is averaging a career-high 1.2 steals per game. The Hawks will be looking to win as many games as possible down the stretch, meaning Young should be a solid top-40 asset ROS.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trae Young: Claims double-double in win
Young registered 28 points (11-14 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 10 assists, four rebounds and three steals in 33 minutes during Wednesday's 122-120 win over Washington. Young led all Hawks players in scoring and assists, tallying 11 of his team-high 28 points in the fourth quarter to lead Atlanta to a narrow win. He now has 32 double-doubles in 59 appearances on the campaign, and while his efficiency at all three levels is down from a season ago, he's raised his production on the defensive end with a career-high 1.2 steals per game.... Hawks' Trae Young: Scores 25 with seven assists
Young finished Monday's 130-128 loss to Miami with 25 points (9-17 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 6-8 FT), seven assists, one rebound and one steal across 34 minutes. Young bounced back from a woeful 2-for-13 shooting performance in Saturday's loss to Miami by providing a more typical line in the rematch. The star floor general's overall fantasy value has dipped in 2022-23 thanks to notable reductions in his scoring average and field-goal percentage from the previous season, but he hasn't been a huge liability for managers who selected him in the first or second rounds of fantasy drafts.... Hawks' Trae Young: Typical performance in win
Young closed with 23 points (6-14 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 8-8 FT), seven rebounds, 11 assists and two steals in 29 minutes during Friday's 129-111 win over the Trail Blazers. After a questionable tag early in the day (groin), Young suited up and provided a solid fantasy line, notching his first double-double in five games. Fantasy managers might notice that his steals production has been ramping up over the past several weeks. For his career, the young guard has hovered around one steal per game (1.0), but since the start of 2023, he's been averaging well above that number (1.5).... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trae Young: Good to go Friday
Young (groin) is available for Friday's matchup versus the Trail Blazers, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports. As expected, Young will play through groin soreness after participating in morning shootaround. He's crossed the 30-point threshold in each of the past three games, averaging 33.0 points, 8.0 dimes, 2.7 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 33.3 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trae Young: Participates in shootaround
Young (groin) participated in Friday's shootaround, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Young is probable for Friday's game against the Trail Blazers, so his presence at shootaround isn't particularly surprising. He seems to be on the right track to suit up despite his right groin soreness.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trae Young: Probable Friday
Young is probable for Friday's game against the Trail Blazers due to right groin soreness, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Young has fallen just short of double-doubles in his last three appearances but has topped 30 points in each of those outings, averaging 33.0 points, 8.0 assists and 2.7 rebounds in 33.3 minutes per game during that time. Although he's dealing with a groin issue, he should be able to suit up against Portland.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trae Young: Hits for 31 in Tuesday's loss
Young amassed a team-high 31 points (11-26 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 7-8 FT), two rebounds, seven assists and one block over 34 minutes during Tuesday's 119-116 loss to Washington. The fifth-year star gave new head coach Quin Snyder a full look at both the good and the bad Young can bring to the court, scoring more than 30 points for the third straight game but going just 1-for-8 from the floor in the fourth quarter as the Hawks squandered a lead. His fantasy production remains excellent, however, and Young wraps up February having averaged 26.6 points, 11.2 assists, 3.0 boards, 2.4 threes and 1.6 steals through 10 games.... See More ... Hawks' Trae Young: Sinks game-winning shot
Young supplied 34 points (12-26 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 9-9 FT), three rebounds, eight assists and two steals in 34 minutes during Sunday's 129-127 victory over Brooklyn. Young has scored exactly 34 points in both of Atlanta's games following the All-Star break, but this performance was particularly impressive since he drained the game-winning shot with 0.1 seconds left in the game on a pull-up jumper from mid-range. Young has been one of the most productive guards in the league in February, averaging 26.1 points, 11.7 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.8 steals across 33.3 minutes through nine contests.... See More ... Hawks' Trae Young: Dazzles against Cleveland
Young ended Friday's 136-119 victory over the Cavaliers with 34 points (8-18 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 14-15 FT), three rebounds, nine assists and one steal across 32 minutes. Young led the way for the Hawks in their first game since the All-Star break, and the star point guard ended just one assist away from recording what would've been his sixth straight double-double. Young is one of the best guards in the league from a fantasy perspective and is a double-double threat every time he steps on the court, but he seems to have taken his game to a whole new level of late. He's averaging 25.1 points and 12.1 assists per game across eight February appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Hawks' Trae Young: Not on injury report
Young (personal) isn't on the injury report for Friday's game against the Cavaliers, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports. Young was excused from practice Thursday for personal reasons, but he won't be forced to miss Friday's matchup. He was dominant before the All-Star break, posting double-doubles in 10 of his last 11 appearances while averaging 25.2 points, 12.2 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 34.6 minutes per game time....
