  • Hawks' Trae Young: Ruled out

Young (illness) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the 76ers, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Young was initially listed as questionable but didn't travel with the team and will miss his second game of the season. In Young's absence, AJ Griffin is a candidate to join the starting lineup, but Dejounte Murray will presumably take over as the No. 1 offensive option, while Bogdan Bogdanovic handles increased usage off the bench. Young's next chance to suit up will come Monday against Denver.

  • Hawks' Trae Young: Questionable for Friday

Young (illness) is questionable for Friday's game against the 76ers, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports. Young has missed just one game this year, but he's dealing with an ailment that puts his status for Friday's game up in the air. He's been on a tear recently with 30-plus points in six of his last eight appearances, averaging 32.5 points, 9.9 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 36.5 minutes per game during that time. If he can't suit up Friday, Trent Forrest could see a slight uptick in playing time.

  • Hawks' Trae Young: Leading scorer in loss

Young produced 30 points (11-24 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 5-5 FT), one rebound, nine assists and two blocks over 37 minutes during Wednesday's 114-113 loss to the Nets. It was the third straight game -- and the eighth in nine contests -- that Young led the Hawks in scoring. It was also his third straight contests scoring 30-plus points, and he's managed to improve his shooting from the field (though not from beyond the arc) over the past couple of weeks. Young will continue to be the focal point of Atlanta's offense as they face off against Philadelphia and reigning MVP Joel Embiid on Friday.

  • Hawks' Trae Young: Another double-double

Young ended with 32 points (13-28 FG, 5-13 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, 12 assists and two steals over 37 minutes during Saturday's 132-121 loss to Milwaukee. Young delivered another impressive despite the fact the Hawks couldn't top the Bucks, one of the contending teams in the Eastern Conference. Regardless of whether the Hawks win or lose, Young has been able to deliver excellent stat lines on a consistent basis, and he continues to deliver first-round value even if his efficiency isn't very high. Through his last 10 games, Young is averaging a robust 29.4 points, 11.1 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.6 steals per contest.

  • Hawks' Trae Young: Massive double-double Thursday

Young produced 45 points (15-29 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 13-16 FT), four rebounds, 14 assists and two steals across 40 minutes during Thursday's 137-135 victory over the Spurs. Young can light up the scoreboard at any time, and he was impressive Thursday against a combative San Antonio team that battled until the end. Young has been a double-double machine this season and has registered that tally in 11 out of 17 appearances. Plus, this was a season-high mark in scoring, and his third outing with 40 or more points in the current campaign. Young can be prone to deliver some off nights in terms of shooting and turnovers, but his shooting volume and usage rate grant him a high floor every time he steps on the court.

  • Hawks' Trae Young: Poor shooting display in loss

Young finished with 13 points (3-14 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 5-6 FT), one rebound, 10 assists and one steal across 32 minutes during Tuesday's 128-105 loss to the Cavaliers. Young struggled badly from the field in this one, though he wasn't the only Atlanta player who shot the ball poorly -- no one on the Hawks' roster reached the 20-point mark during the 23-point loss. The 10 assists were a decent output and marked Young's fourth double-double over his last seven contests, but he needs to show more consistency in terms of shooting efficiency to push his fantasy value one step further.

  • Hawks' Trae Young: Wins game in OT

Young finished with 43 points (12-31 FG, 8-16 3Pt, 11-13 FT), four rebounds, nine assists and two steals in 40 minutes during Wednesday's 147-145 overtime victory over the Nets. The 25-year-old guard set a new season scoring high in the win, and Young came through when it mattered most, as he scored 14 of Atlanta's 16 points in OT. After a bit of a sluggish start to the campaign, he's been his usual self in November, averaging 28.1 points, 11.0 assists, 3.1 threes, 2.9 boards and 1.8 steals over nine games while shooting 42.1 percent from the floor and 38.4 percent from three-point range.

  • Hawks' Trae Young: Goes off for 38 points

Young posted 38 points (13-17 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 7-8 FT), one rebound, eight assists and three steals over 39 minutes during Tuesday's 157-152 loss to the Pacers. The Hawks and the Pacers engaged in a high-scoring affair that delivered 309 total points, and Young was one of the standout performers of this contest while establishing a back-and-forth duel with Tyrese Haliburton. Young came up short of notching his fourth straight double-double, but his scoring numbers were enough to round out another strong stat line. Regardless of whether he makes an impact as a scorer or playmaker, Young has been outstanding for the Hawks of late, averaging 26.3 points and 11.3 assists per game in eight November contests.

  • Hawks' Trae Young: Struggles with shot again in loss

Young totaled 15 points (4-12 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 7-9 FT), one rebound, 17 assists and two steals in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 116-114 loss to the Knicks. While he found a way to contribute even without a big scoring performance by dishing a season high in assists, the combined 0-for-7 effort from three-point range by Young and Dejounte Murray proved crucial in the close loss. Young does have seven double-doubles in 10 games to begin the campaign, but his 23.5 points per game, 35.6 percent shooting from the floor and 27.8 percent shooting from beyond the arc are well below his usual standards.

  • Hawks' Trae Young: Not on injury report

Young (personal) is off the injury report for Wednesday's game against the Knicks. Presumably, Young will be back in the starting lineup Wednesday after missing Tuesday's win over the Pistons to spend time with his wife and newborn daughter. Bogdan Bogdanovic replaced Young in the lineup Tuesday, finishing with 17 points, three rebounds, three assists and three triples.

  • Hawks' Trae Young: Ruled out Tuesday

Young (personal) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Pistons in Detroit. Young had previously been listed as questionable heading into Tuesday, but he'll end up getting his first game off of the season after he announced Monday the birth of his daughter via his personal Instagram account. Tuesday marks the front end of a back-to-back set for the Hawks, and it's unclear if Young will be ready to rejoin the team in Atlanta for Wednesday's game against the Knicks. At least for Tuesday's game, Dejounte Murray is likely to slide over to point guard and take on some heavy usage, while reserve players such as AJ Griffin, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Saddiq Bey could be thrust into larger roles as well.

  • Hawks' Trae Young: Questionable for Tuesday

Young is questionable for Tuesday's contest against the Pistons due to personal reasons. Young may miss his first game of the season while attending to a personal issue. The All-Star point guard has recorded a double-double in six of his last eight appearances, averaging 24.6 points, 10.4 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 35.5 minutes during that stretch. If he's unavailable Tuesday, Dejounte Murray would presumably take over point-guard responsibilities, while Bogdan Bogdanovic, Patty Mills, AJ Griffin and Saddiq Bey would see increased playing time.

  • Hawks' Trae Young: Another double-double

Young had 27 points (7-19 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 10-11 FT), two rebounds, 11 assists and one steal over 38 minutes during Saturday's 117-109 loss to the Heat. Despite the loss, Young registered his sixth double-double of the season and was impressive as the go-to guy on offense for the Hawks. He's now scored at least 20 points in seven games in a row while dishing out double-digit dimes five times in that stretch, giving him an extremely high floor even on games when he struggles from the field.

  • Hawks' Trae Young: Scores season-high 41 points

Young had 41 points (12-27 FG, 5-15 3Pt, 12-13 FT), four rebounds, eight assists and three steals in 34 minutes during Thursday's 120-119 victory over the Magic. Young couldn't extend his double-double streak to four games, but he delivered his best scoring output of the campaign while maintaining his efficiency as a passer. Young has dished out at least eight assists in every game thus far and is averaging 24.1 points with 10.1 assists per game to open the campaign.

  • Hawks' Trae Young: Collects 11 assists in loss

Young accumulated 22 points (5-18 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 11-11 FT), four rebounds, 11 assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Monday's 126-117 loss to the Thunder. Young has recorded double-digit assists in five consecutive contests, resulting in a five-game double-double streak for the All-Star. The sole blemish on his report card is a field-goal percentage of 33.6 percent, which is about 10 points lower than his typical season average.

  • Hawks' Trae Young: Delivers double-double

Young finished with 22 points (7-15 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds, 12 assists and one steal across 39 minutes during Saturday's 123-105 victory over New Orleans. Another game, another instance where Young delivers an impressive double-double, and he's up four of those in the year across six appearances. The star point guard continues to struggle from the field even though Saturday's was one of his best shooting displays of the campaign, and he represents an option with an extremely high floor on a nightly basis due to his scoring prowess, passing ability and high usage rate.

  • Hawks' Trae Young: Delivers double-double

Young amassed 23 points (7-18 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 8-9 FT), three rebounds, 10 assists and two steals across 35 minutes during Wednesday's 130-121 victory over the Wizards. Young recorded another double-double, his third over his last four appearances, and he continues to deliver at a high level since he's also registered at least 20 points in all but one of his five outings so far. The star floor general is firmly entrenched as Atlanta's main playmaker and scoring threat, and while an uptick in his three-point percentage would boost his upside, he has been one of the most productive point guards in the first week of the regular season.

  • Hawks' Trae Young: Available Wednesday

Young (Achilles) is available for Wednesday's game against Washington. Young was questionable for Wednesday's matchup due to right Achilles inflammation, but he'll be able to play through the issue against Washington. Over his first four appearances of the season, he's averaged 21.3 points and 10.0 assists in 34.5 minutes per game despite shooting just 31 percent from the floor.

  • Hawks' Trae Young: Dealing with Achilles inflammation

Young is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Wizards due to right Achilles inflammation, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Young hasn't shot the ball particularly well yet this season (31 percent), but he is averaging 21.3 points, 10.0 assists and 1.5 steals in 34.5 minutes per game. If Young is sidelined, he'll have until Saturday's matchup in New Orleans to rest and rehab. Patty Mills, Kobe Bufkin, Bogdan Bogdanovic and AJ Griffin are candidates for increased roles in Young's potential absence, but Dejounte Murray would presumably lead Atlanta's offensive attack.

  • Hawks' Trae Young: Pops for 24 in Monday's win

Young ended with 24 points (9-22 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), one rebound, eight assists and one steal in 35 minutes during Monday's 127-113 win over the Timberwolves. The 25-year-old guard scored at least 20 points for the third time in four games to begin the season, but Young took a back seat to Dejounte Murray on Monday as the latter tied his career high with 41 points to fuel a comeback win. Young hasn't quite found his form yet, shooting just 31.0 percent from the floor and 24.1 percent from three-point range in the early going, but his scoring should rise once he gets locked in.
