Alexander-Walker closed with zero points (0-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt) and one rebound in 10 minutes during Monday's 119-115 victory over the Kings. Alexander-Walker played his fewest minutes since Feb. 16 and was held scoreless for the third time this season when he's played at least 10 minutes. Across 12 March appearances, he's averaged 6.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 18.8 minutes per game, but barring numerous injuries, he can safely be left on the waiver wire in standard leagues.... Timberwolves' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Modest production in loss
Alexander-Walker registered four points (2-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and two steals over 19 minutes during Saturday's 122-107 loss to the Raptors. Since the All-Star break (11 games), Alexander-Walker has averaged 8.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals-plus-blocks in 20.5 minutes. As long as Jaylen Nowell (knee) and Anthony Edwards (ankle) remain out, Alexander-Walker is a candidate for a solid reserve role, but his production has been too sporadic to trust on a nightly basis.... Timberwolves' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Available Friday
Alexander-Walker (recently traded) is available for Friday's game against the Grizzlies. Alexander-Walker passed his physical ahead of Friday's matchup and has been cleared to make his team debut. He wasn't part of Utah's rotation shortly before being traded, and it's not yet clear how much playing time he'll be able to carve out in Minnesota.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Questionable against Grizzlies
Alexander-Walker (recently traded) is questionable for Friday's game against Memphis. Alexander-Walker was traded from the Jazz to the Timberwolves on Wednesday, but he still needs to pass his physical before he's cleared to make his team debut. Once he's available, Alexander-Walker will provide backcourt depth behind Mike Conley, who was also recently acquired by Minnesota via trade from the Jazz.... See More ... See Less -
Timberwolves' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Dealt to Minnesota
The Timberwolves acquired Alexander-Walker from the Jazz on Wednesday in a three-team trade that also involves the Lakers, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Along with Alexander-Walker, the Timberwolves received Mike Conley and second-round picks in 2024, 2025 and 2026, while Utah takes back Russell Westbrook, Damian Jones, Juan Toscano-Anderson and a 2027 first-round draft pick. The Lakers, meanwhile, will add D'Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt and Malik Beasley. Alexander-Walker will provide some depth in the backcourt in Minnesota, but he may have a tough time earning reserve minutes behind Conley -- who replaces Russell as the Wolves' starting point guard -- and Anthony Edwards. The 24-year-old will primarily be competing with Jaylen Nowell, Austin Rivers and Jordan McLaughlin for playing time with the second unit.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Back on bench Saturday
Alexander-Walker is not starting Saturday against the 76ers, Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. As expected, Alexander-Walker heads back to the bench with Mike Conley back in the starting unit following a game off due to rest. Alexander-Walker provided two points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt), two rebounds and two steals over 15 minutes during Friday's 112-108 victory over the Magic. His return to the bench shouldn't affect many fantasy rosters.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Flops in spot start Friday
Alexander-Walker provided two points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt), two rebounds and two steals over 15 minutes during Friday's 112-108 victory over the Magic. Alexander-Walker replaced Mike Conley (rest) in the starting lineup Friday but was unable to produce anything close to a fantasy-relevant line. Outside of a few brief flashes, Alexander-Walker has been an afterthought when it comes to fantasy, sitting well outside the top 250 in standard leagues. There is really no reason to consider him a viable asset unless the Jazz hand him a larger role, which currently seems unlikely.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Set to start against Orlando
Alexander-Walker is in the starting lineup for Friday's game versus the Jazz, Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Alexander-Walker will replace Mike Conley (rest) in the starting five Friday. The 24-year-old guard is averaging 19.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 32.5 minutes across his previous two starts.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Second straight in double figures
Alexander-Walker supplied 13 points (5-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one block over 22 minutes during Tuesday's 116-114 victory over the Cavaliers. Alexander-Walker finished in double digits for his second straight game by shooting 50.0 percent from the field and knocking down free throws. He was noticeably more aggressive on the offensive end, as he hoisted up 10 attempts from the field for the first time since Dec. 13. The Virginia Tech product is averaging 7.1 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists through 29 appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Solid night off bench
Alexander-Walker provided 19 points (7-10 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, six assists and two blocks over 25 minutes during Tuesday's 121-100 victory over the Pelicans. Mike Conley and Jordan Clarkson were both back in the starting five for Utah, so Alexander-Walker shifted to the bench following a two-game cameo in the starting lineup. The 2019 first-rounder has quietly put together a solid last four games, posting 17.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 29.8 minutes. When Utah is at full strength, Alexander-Walker likely won't be fantasy-viable, but he'll be among the players who will continue to benefit from Collin Sexton's (hamstring) absence. Alexander-Walker is also a name to watch if the Jazz opt to trade away some key pieces -- such as Clarkson, Conley or Malik Beasley -- ahead of the trade deadline.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Moves back to bench
Alexander-Walker isn't in the starting five for Tuesday's game against the Pelicans, Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Alexander-Walker will move back to the bench Tuesday, with Mike Conley (lower body) and Jordan Clarkson (hip) returning to the lineup. He averaged 19.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 32.5 minutes during his only two starts of the season.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Explodes for season-high 27 points
Alexander-Walker closed Saturday's 115-110 loss to the Nuggets with 27 points (9-16 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 4-5 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one block over 40 minutes. Alexander-Walker put down easily his best game of the season, dropping a team-high 27 points. Before managers go running to the waiver wire, keep in mind that the Jazz were without three primary guards due to injury (Jordan Clarkson, Mike Conley and Collin Sexton). Alexander-Walker can be considered a very short-term pickup, although his role could disappear as soon as Tuesday against the Pelicans.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Starting Friday
Alexander-Walker will start Friday against the Timberwolves, Eric Walden of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. With Collin Sexton (hamstring) out, Alexander-Walker will draw the start at point guard in place of Mike Conley, who is active but will be limited off the bench in his return from a lower-leg injury. Alexander-Walker has yet to start a game this season but has averaged 10.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.7 steals across the three games in which he has played more than 20 minutes. He should garner significant streaming interest for the duration of Sexton's absence.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Efficient with limited shot volume
Alexander-Walker totaled 11 points (4-5 FG, 3-4 3Pt), seven rebounds, four assists and three steals over 29 minutes during Wednesday's 124-123 victory over Golden State. Alexander-Walker fell out of Utah's rotation over the last two games, but he saw an uptick in playing time Wednesday with Mike Conley (leg) sidelined and Collin Sexton (hamstring) leaving the matchup early. Alexander-Walker responded by shooting 80 percent from the floor while approaching a double-double during the narrow win. He'll likely see decreased work once the Jazz are back to full strength, but he proved Wednesday that he can be productive when given the opportunity.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Perfect from deep in loss
Alexander-Walker closed with 12 points (4-5 FG, 4-4 3Pt) across 16 minutes during Saturday's 113-112 loss to Phoenix. Alexander-Walker saw only 16 minutes of court time Saturday, but he made the most of the opportunity with a season-high 12 points. All of his scoring came from three-point range, from which he went a perfect 4-for-4. However, Alexander-Walker didn't register any complementary stats in the contest, which has been par for the course this season -- through 12 games, he's averaging 4.0 points, 1.4 assists, 1.0 boards and 0.7 three-pointers in 10.4 minutes.... Jazz's Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Held scoreless in limited action
Alexander-Walker logged zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and two rebounds over nine minutes during Sunday's 110-102 victory over the Clippers. Alexander-Walker has played fewer than 10 minutes in six of his seven appearances this season. Barring a trade of Mike Conley and/or Jordan Clarkson, Alexander-Walker will likely remain on the outskirts of Utah's rotation.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Dishes out four assists
Alexander-Walker posted seven points (2-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four assists, one steal and one block in eight minutes during Friday's 117-101 loss to the Nuggets. Alexander-Walker posted his season high in minutes, points, assists, steals and blocks, albeit through only three games played. Alexander-Walker has had a diminished role since being traded to the Jazz last season, and it doesn't seem to be changing despite the team's rebuilding direction.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Back in bench role
Alexander-Walker isn't starting Monday's game against Brooklyn. Alexander-Walker nabbed two starts in the absence of Mike Conley, but he'll head back to a bench role Monday evening with Conley back in action. The Virginia Tech product is averaging 4.4 minutes, 1.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists in his last 10 games as a reserve.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Draws start Friday
Alexander-Walker is starting Friday's game against the Clippers, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports. Alexander-Walker totaled 16 points, four rebounds and two steals in 22 minutes during Wednesday's win over Chicago, and he'll start for the shorthanded Jazz on Friday. Jordan Clarkson should also see plenty of playing time against the Clippers.... See More ... See Less -
Jazz's Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Not in rotation with Jazz
Alexander-Walker has been a DNP-CD in each of the Jazz's last three games. Alexander-Walker arrived in Utah shortly before the trade deadline after being re-routed from Portland, but the 2019 first-round pick has not been a part of Utah's regular rotation. He appeared in each of his first two games with the Jazz but logged just five total minutes in garbage time. Barring an injury or two to the Utah backcourt, Alexander-Walker will likely remain on the fringes of the rotation for the remainder of the regular season.... See More ... See Less
