Per PuckPedia, Kovacevic signed a three-year contract extension with Winnipeg on Friday.
Kovacevic spent most of the 2021-22 season in the minors, picking up 11 goals and 30 points through 62 appearances with AHL Manitoba, but he also drew into four games with the Jets, going scoreless over that span. The 25-year-old defender will likely once again spend the majority of the 2022-23 campaign with Manitoba.
