Gardner was summoned from AHL Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.
Gardner's recorded three goals, four points and 39 PIM in 21 contests with Lehigh Valley this season. The 27-year-old has a goal, two points and 10 PIM in 40 career NHL contests, but he hasn't played at the top level in 2023-24.
