McNeill (knee) is expected to return to the field this season, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
McNeill was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury Dec. 5, but head coach Dan Campbell said Friday that the team is optimistic McNeill will return before the end of the season, saying that he feels "good about getting him back". The earliest the defensive tackle could return is Week 18 against the Vikings.
