The Broncos defense is missing two key components this season with the loss of defensive coordinator Wade Phillips (now DC with the Rams) and future Hall of Fame pass rusher DeMarcus Ware, who retired. Replacing Phillips is new head coach Vance Joseph, who was the former defensive coordinator in Miami, and he coached with Phillips when both were in Houston, so the system should be similar. And the Broncos already had a replacement for Ware in Shane Ray, who should be poised for a breakout campaign in his third year. It helps that Denver has premier pass rusher Von Miller, as well as a dominant secondary led by Chris Harris, Aqib Talib, Bradley Roby and T.J. Ward. The Broncos DST was only the No. 4 Fantasy option in 2015, which was a decline from the No. 1 spot the year before, but Denver is still going to have a dominant defensive unit. We recommend drafting the Broncos DST with a late-round pick in all formats, and they should be among the first DST options selected in all leagues.
