Spence logged an assist in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to the Capitals. Spence has enjoyed a solid run lately with six helpers over his last nine contests. The 22-year-old defenseman remains a consistent presence in the lineup, albeit in a third-pairing role with fairly limited ice time. He's up to nine assists, 16 shots on net, 13 hits, 16 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating through 19 appearances this season.... See More ... See Less

Kings' Jordan Spence: Grabs helper in win
Spence posted an assist and two blocked shots in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Blues. Spence has racked up four assists over his last five games despite his limited role on the third pairing. The 22-year-old defenseman has at least steadily been in the lineup despite frequent paper moves to AHL Ontario. He's up to seven assists, 13 shots on net, 11 hits, 12 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating through 15 contests this season. Spence has enough offense in his game, especially with a spot on the second power-play unit, that he could be helpful in deeper fantasy formats.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Jordan Spence: Back in LA
Spence was recalled from AHL Ontario on Saturday. Spence was sent to the minors Friday and quickly recalled. The defenseman has six helpers in 12 games with the Kings this season, including three in his last two games.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Jordan Spence: Dropped to AHL
Spence was reassigned to AHL Ontario on Friday, per CapFriendly. Spence has six assists in 12 NHL contests this season. He'll likely be promoted before Saturday's tilt with the Flyers.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Jordan Spence: Grabs helper Thursday
Spence notched an assist and three shots on goal in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Penguins. Spence helped out on Kevin Fiala's third-period equalizer, which forced the overtime session. This was Spence's third assist over the last two games. The 22-year-old blueliner is up to six helpers, 10 shots on net, nine hits, nine blocked shots and a plus-6 rating through 12 contests. He should continue to see time on the third pairing -- Andreas Englund is more at risk of losing his place in the lineup to Tobias Bjornfot if head coach Todd McLellan voluntarily changes up his defense.... Kings' Jordan Spence: Provides pair of helpers
Spence registered two assists, including one on the power play, in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Golden Knights. Spence set up second-period tallies by Adrian Kempe and Trevor Moore. This was Spence's first multi-point effort of the campaign. He's logged five helpers, seven shots on net, nine hits, eight blocked shots and a plus-5 rating through 11 appearances overall. While he's on the third pairing at even strength, the 22-year-old has also seen time on the second power-play unit.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Jordan Spence: Contributes assist
Spence logged an assist, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Maple Leafs. Spence has logged an assist in three of his last four games, accounting for all of his offense through eight appearances. The 22-year-old blueliner helped out on a Phillip Danault tally in the first period of Tuesday's win. Spence has added seven hits, seven blocked shots, three shots on goal and a plus-2 rating, but he's seen relatively limited usage while paired with Andreas Englund.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Jordan Spence: Nabs helper
Spence posted an assist in Friday's 5-4 win over the Coyotes. Spence has been bounced between the NHL and AHL levels lately as the Kings manage a tight salary cap. The defenseman has regularly played on the third pairing and second power-play unit for the Kings, and he's logged both of his assists this season over the last two games. He's added three shots on net, four hits, seven blocked shots and a plus-2 rating.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Jordan Spence: Called up from AHL
Spence was recalled from the minors Thursday. Considering Spence has played in five of the Kings' six games this season, his promotion from AHL Ontario shouldn't come as a surprise. In those outings, the 22-year-old blueliner garnered one assist, four hits and three shots while averaging 14:16 of ice time. With Los Angeles hard up against the cap, fantasy players should expect Spence to continue moving between leagues frequently as a cap-saving measure.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Jordan Spence: Notches helper
Spence logged an assist and two blocked shots in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Coyotes. The helper was Spence's first point in five outings this season. The 22-year-old defenseman is seeing steady playing time over Tobias Bjornfot on the third pairing, but Spence isn't getting a ton of ice time. He's been solid in the non-scoring areas with seven blocked shots, four hits, three shots on net and a plus-1 rating, and his limited role suggests fantasy managers shouldn't expect a lot of offense.... Kings' Jordan Spence: Sent to AHL
Spence was reassigned to AHL Ontario on Sunday, per CapFriendly. Spence has one assist while averaging 14 minutes of ice time through six NHL games this season. He could be brought back up for Monday's tilt with Vancouver.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Jordan Spence: Set for promotion
Spence is expected to be called up from the minors Wednesday, Russell Morgan of Hockey Royalty reports. Spence has played in just five games for the Kings this season in which he garnered one assist, six shots and three hits while averaging 14:19 of ice time. The promotion of Spence doesn't bode well for the availability of either Mikey Anderson (undisclosed) or Alexander Edler (upper body) versus the Golden Knights on Thursday.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Jordan Spence: Nabs first assist of season
Spence logged an assist in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Avalanche. Spence set up the first of Phillip Danault's two goals in the third period. The helper was Spence's first point through four games at the NHL level this season. The 22-year-old will likely be in competition for a depth role for as long as Sean Durzi (undisclosed) is out. Spence is unlikely to put up enough offense to be helpful in fantasy.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Jordan Spence: Set for promotion
Spence is expected to be elevated from AHL Ontario on Wednesday, John Hoven of SiriusXM NHL Network Radio reports. Spence's addition to the rost could be an indication that there is an injury for the Kings, as the team already has a full complement of seven defensemen. Still, the 23-man roster limit is no longer in effect, so it could just be a matter of getting another body on the NHL roster. Regardless, Spence is unlikely to be in action against the Avs on Thursday, serving instead as a healthy scratch most likely.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Jordan Spence: Paper move back to AHL
Spence was reassigned to AHL Ontario on Thursday, per CapFriendly. This is becoming a near-daily occurrence for Spence, who has been serving as a spare defenseman with the big club on game days. It shouldn't be surprising to see him recalled ahead of Saturday's game versus the Devils.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Jordan Spence: Back with big club
Spence was recalled from AHL Ontario on Wednesday, per CapFriendly. Spence continues to be involved in paper moves as the Kings look to save some cap space. He's likely to be a healthy scratch for Wednesday's game versus the Sharks.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Jordan Spence: Recalled from AHL
Spence was summoned from OHL Ontario on Monday. Spence has four shots on goal, three blocks and two hits in three appearances with the Kings this season. He might just be an extra blueliner for Monday's contest against Edmonton.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Jordan Spence: Up with Kings
Spence was summoned by Los Angeles from the AHL on Tuesday. Spence has no points in three games with Los Angeles while averaging 14:19 of ice time this season. At the AHL level, he's contributed two goals and 21 points in 22 contests.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Jordan Spence: Moves back to AHL
Spence was reassigned to AHL Ontario on Friday, per the AHL's transactions page. Spence has filled in as a part-time option on the third pairing over the last week. He has four shots on goal, three blocked shots and two hits through three contests. The 21-year-old could be called up again following the holiday break.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Jordan Spence: Loaned to AHL Ontario
Spence was returned to AHL Ontario on Sunday. Spence logged 13:46 of ice time Saturday versus San Jose during his NHL season debut. He was credited with two shots on goal, one block and one hit in the contest. Los Angeles is off until Tuesday's home matchup with Anaheim.... See More ... See Less
