Mammoth's Tomas Lavoie: Four points in series-ending win
Lavoie scored a goal and added three assists in QMJHL Chicoutimi's 8-1 win over Halifax in Game 4 on Wednesday.
Lavoie was quiet early in the series but popped off to help Chicoutimi sweep Halifax. He had five points over four outings in the sweep. Lavoie posted 10 goals and 47 points across 56 regular-season outings between Chicoutimi and Cape Breton, which is hardly elite production. He projects to be a shutdown defenseman as a professional, starting in the 2026-27 campaign.

Mammoth's Tomas Lavoie: Adds three points Saturday
Lavoie scored a goal and added two assists in QMJHL Chicoutimi's 14-2 win over Charlottetown on Saturday.
Lavoie has earned eight points and a plus-9 rating over three games in March. While he's a defenseman, and therefore not quite as involved in the offense, he has been bolstered by a nearly unstoppable attack for Chicoutimi. Lavoie is at nine goals, 45 points and a plus-26 rating through 50 appearances this season, and he continues to be steady in all zones.

Mammoth's Tomas Lavoie: Five points in Sunday's win
Lavoie scored twice and added three assists in QMJHL Chicoutimi's 10-3 win over Rimouski on Sunday.
Lavoie was the Sagueneens' leader in this contest, taking some pressure off some of their other NHL-affiliated prospects. This was a much-needed big game for the blueliner, who was limited to a total of five assists over 11 outings in February. Lavoie now has eight goals, 42 points and a plus-21 rating over 48 outings between Chicoutimi and Cape Breton this season.

Mammoth's Tomas Lavoie: Racks up three points
Lavoie scored a goal and added two assists in QMJHL Chicoutimi's 6-0 win over Quebec on Monday.
Lavoie had a fairly uninspiring first couple of months of the season, but he's heating up. He had four goals and six assists over his last six games, getting on the scoresheet in five of them. This was his second game with Chicoutimi after he was traded from Cape Breton earlier in December. The Mammoth prospect should continue to benefit from a stronger supporting cast with the Sagueneens, who are leading the QMJHL.

Mammoth's Tomas Lavoie: Hat trick, helper Thursday
Lavoie scored three goals and added an assist in QMJHL Cape Breton's 4-3 win over Moncton on Thursday.
Lavoie had an unexpected burst of offense to head into the holiday break on a high note. The defenseman is now at five goals and 21 points through 24 appearances this season. He's been better lately with nine of his points coming over seven contests in December.

Mammoth's Tomas Lavoie: Earns two assists
Lavoie notched two assists in QMJHL Cape Breton's 4-1 win over Sherbrooke on Saturday.
Lavoie has five helpers over six games in November. Overall, he's produced 10 points (one goal, nine assists) in 15 appearances for the Eagles this season. The Utah prospect won't put up big scoring numbers in the long run, instead producing steady physical play and defensive work as a stay-at-home blueliner.

Mammoth's Tomas Lavoie: Two helpers in win Friday
Lavoie logged two assists in QMJHL Cape Breton's 3-1 win over Newfoundland on Friday.
This was Lavoie's first multi-point effort of the season for Cape Breton. The 19-year-old defenseman has a total of seven points in 10 outings this season. The Mammoth prospect signed his entry-level contract in April, but it'll be a while before he's an NHL option. Even when he gets there, he's unlikely to be a fantasy factor, as he's more of a physical shutdown defenseman than a future superstar on offense.

Hockey Club's Tomas Lavoie: Signs entry-level deal
Lavoie signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Utah on Wednesday.
Lavoie was selected by Utah in the third round of the 2024 NHL Draft, and he spent this season with the Cape Breton Eagles of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League. He recorded 15 goals, 40 assists and 31 PIM over 60 appearances with the club, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him head to the AHL next year.
