Flames' Adam Klapka: Assigned to AHL
Klapka (undisclosed) was assigned to AHL Calgary on Thursday.
Klapka sustained an undisclosed injury during the Flames' regular-season finale last week, but his assignment to the AHL suggests that he's moved past the issue. Over 31 appearances in the NHL this year, he logged six goals, four assists, 108 hits and 29 PIM while averaging 9:39 of ice time. He'll be available for the Wranglers in the Calder Cup Playoffs.

Flames' Adam Klapka: Misses most of third period
Klapka was injured in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Kings, Wes Gilbertson of the Calgary Sun reports.
Klapka missed most of the third period after logging an assist earlier in the game. There was no update on his status after the contest, though information could surface when the Flames have their exit interviews in the coming days. Klapka could also be invited to play for Czechia at the 2025 IIHF World Championship if he is healthy enough for next month's tournament. He put up 10 points, 44 shots on net, 108 hits and a minus-3 rating over 31 NHL appearances this season.

Flames' Adam Klapka: Puts away goal
Klapka scored a goal on four shots, doled out six hits and added two PIM in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout win over the Golden Knights.
Klapka took a penalty in the third period and scored right after getting out of the sin bin. The 24-year-old winger has fit in well in a larger role with three points over his last two contests. For the season, he's at six goals, nine points, 44 shots on net, 106 hits, 29 PIM and a minus-4 rating over 30 appearances. He's setting himself up well to get a long look in training camp in the fall.

Flames' Adam Klapka: Goal, assist in win
Klapka scored a goal, dished an assist, added four hits and went plus-2 in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Sharks.
Klapka set up a MacKenzie Weegar goal in the first period, then tallied one of his own just a few minutes later to put the Flames ahead 2-1. The 24-year-old Klapka is seeing a larger even-strength role while skating alongside the Flames' top forward duo in Nazem Kadri and Jonathan Huberdeau. Over his last eight outings, Klapka has three goals and three assists, in addition to 17 shots on net and 31 hits. He's a big-bodied winger who can create space for linemates, but his scoring is still a work in progress. Klapka has five goals, three helpers, 40 shots, 100 hits, 27 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 29 outings in 2024-25.

Flames' Adam Klapka: Lights the lamp Monday
Klapka netted a goal, tallied three shots on net and dished out six hits in Monday's 3-2 win over the Sharks.
Klapka's goal was the first of the game for Calgary, which started the Flames' comeback after they went scoreless in the first two periods. Overall, the 24-year-old winger is up to four goals, six points and 91 hits in 26 appearances this season. While Klapka has spent most of the campaign in the AHL, he's been with the Flames throughout February and March. He's become a factor offensively down the stretch with five points in his last eight games, though he's still serving in a bottom-six capacity, which limits his offensive opportunities. However, Klapka does have some fantasy value in banger leagues, as he's averaging 3.5 hits per game this season.

Flames' Adam Klapka: Delivers helper in win
Klapka notched an assist, three shots on goal and four hits in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Ducks.
Klapka has two goals and two assists over his last six outings. That's strong work for a player that's been under 10 minutes of ice time in five of those contests. For the season, the 24-year-old is at five points, 31 shots on net, 81 hits, 27 PIM and a minus-3 rating across 24 appearances. Klapka is likely to finish 2024-25 in a fourth-line role, so he's not a great option for most fantasy formats.

Flames' Adam Klapka: Scores, assists Monday
Klapka recorded a goal, an assist, four shots on goal, seven hits, a blocked shot and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 3-2 shootout win over the Avalanche.
Klapka has found the back of the net in two of his last four appearances despite serving in a bottom-six capacity. He still has just three goals and four points in 22 outings this season, but he does bring some value in fantasy leagues that reward physicality stats, thanks to his 27 PIM and 76 hits. Klapka has also played in nine straight games, which is the longest string of NHL contests the 24-year-old has featured in so far in his young career.

Flames' Adam Klapka: Buries opening goal
Klapka scored a goal on two shots and added five hits in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kraken.
This was Klapka's first point since his March 12 recall from AHL Calgary. He last got on the scoresheet Jan. 30 versus the Ducks, with his tally Tuesday ending a 10-game slump. The 24-year-old has not been a major factor on offense, earning two goals, 21 shots on net, a minus-3 rating, 61 hits and 17 PIM across 19 NHL appearances this season. He won't offer much in fantasy in a fourth-line role on one of the lowest-scoring teams in the league.

Flames' Adam Klapka: Recalled Wednesday
Klapka was summoned by Calgary on Wednesday.
Klapka has a goal in 13 appearances with the Flames in 2024-25. He's also collected 14 goals and 26 points across 33 outings with AHL Calgary this campaign. Barring a currently unrevealed injury or illness, the Flames have 13 healthy forwards with Klapka on the roster, which gives them the flexibility to make one of them a scratch Wednesday versus Vancouver.

Flames' Adam Klapka: Returned to minors
Klapka was reassigned to AHL Calgary on Friday.
Klapka has appeared in just one of the Flames' last seven games coming out of the 4 Nations Face-Off break. His demotion may not be permanent, instead creating a roster spot for the team ahead of Friday's trade deadline. Still, with how little he's played of late, the Czech winger could benefit from some ice time in the minors.

Flames' Adam Klapka: Pots goal Thursday
Klapka scored a goal on four shots and added eight hits in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Ducks.
Klapka showed a glimpse of what he's capable of in this contest, providing a physical edge with a little scoring touch as well. He saw 13:46 of ice time, picking up minutes after Jakob Pelletier was pulled from the game due to an impending trade. The goal was Klapka's first at the NHL level this season, and he's added 11 shots on net, 10 PIM and 29 hits across eight appearances. The Flames' trade with the Flyers brought in Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee, so there's no guarantee Klapka will stick in the NHL for the long run, though it's possible Clark Bishop gets sent down if the team wants to clear a roster spot.

Klapka was promoted from AHL Calgary on Tuesday.
Klapka will be replacing Rory Kerins, who was sent down to the minors Monday, on the Flames' NHL roster. Whether Klapka actually gets into Tuesday's matchup with Washington ahead of Clark Bishop or Andrei Kuzmenko remains to be seen. For his part, the 24-year-old Klapka has been having a strong season in the minors, racking up 13 goals and 12 assists in 29 games for the Wranglers.

Klapka was recalled from AHL Calgary on Monday.
Klapka appeared in five NHL games to begin the regular season, but he was sent to the AHL in late October. Over five appearances with the Wranglers, he tallied three goals and five points, and he should provide additional depth for the Flames in the near future.

Flames' Adam Klapka: Headed back to minors
Klapka was reassigned to AHL Calgary on Wednesday.
Klapka's demotion comes as Samuel Honzek (upper body) was activated off injured reserve in a corresponding move. In his five NHL games this season, the 24-year-old Klapka failed to register a point while notching six shots, 18 hits and eight PIM. While the Czech winger can certainly add some value in the hits category, he doesn't offer enough offensive upside to warrant utilizing him in most formats.

Flames' Adam Klapka: Grabs two-way deal
Klapka inked a one-year, two-way contract with Calgary on Monday.
Klapka played in six NHL games for the Flames last year in which he generated one goal, four shots on net and 21 hits while averaging just 6:46 of ice time. In the minors, the 23-year-old was significantly more productive with 21 goals and 25 helpers in 65 regular-season tilts with the Wranglers. While Klapka figures to see more than the six games he did last year, he figures to again split his time between the NHL and AHL next year, making him a relative non-factor in fantasy contests.
