Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Nets OT winner
Nazar scored the game-winning goal in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over Ottawa.
Nazar found the back of the net for the game-winning goal just 48 seconds into the extra period. Nazar used the feed from Connor Bedard to score his second game-winning goal of the season. Overall, the 21-year-old Nazar is up to 12 goals, 26 points and 91 shots on net in 53 games this season. Nazar took a large step forward offensively down the stretch with 10 points over his last 11 games. His recent stretch of play makes him a strong option to open the season as Chicago's full-time center on the second line. Look for him to be a breakout candidate during the 2025-26 season.

Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Shines in Monday's win
Nazar scored a goal and an assist, both on the power play, in Monday's 4-3 shootout win over the Canadiens.
The 21-year-old also supplied the only successful shootout attempt, a strange tally that saw Nazar nearly lose the puck, get it back and flip a backhand past Sam Montembeault that got lodged in the twine -- only for the official scorer to mistakenly think the shot had sailed over the glass and into the crowd, initially ruling it a miss. Nazar has produced back-to-back multi-point performances as he finishes his first full NHL season with a flourish, and through seven games in April, he's collected four goals and eight points.

Nazar scored a goal on five shots and added a power-play assist in Saturday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Jets.
Nazar has three goals and three assists over six outings in April. The 21-year-old is up to 10 goals, 13 helpers, 88 shots on net and a minus-12 rating through 51 appearances. He has the same number of power-play points as shorthanded points (two), so Nazar is already trusted with ice time in all situations as a rookie with a promising two-way future ahead of him.

Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Sets up shortie
Nazar logged a shorthanded assist in Wednesday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Avalanche.
Nazar didn't earn an assist in all of March, instead scoring just three goals over the previous 15 games. The 21-year-old got back to helping out when he set up Ilya Mikheyev's opening goal Wednesday. This was the first shorthanded point of Nazar's young career. He's been just fine as a rookie in 2024-25, earning 18 points, 74 shots on net, 27 blocked shots, 24 hits and a minus-13 rating across 46 appearances. He still has some developing to do before he can be trusted regularly in redraft formats.

Nazar scored a goal on four shots and blocked two shots in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Devils.
Nazar snapped a five-game point drought with the tally. The 21-year-old saw a season-high 21:10 of ice time while centering the first line in Wednesday's contest. He's up to seven goals, 17 points, 66 shots on net and a minus-12 rating over 43 appearances. Nazar has talent, but even with a big role with the Blackhawks, he is still risky in redraft formats for the rest of the campaign.

Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Converts penalty shot
Nazar scored on a penalty shot in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over Utah.
The goal ended an eight-game run in which Nazar was limited to four assists. The 21-year-old was not involved in a paper move to AHL Rockford ahead of Friday's deadline for playoff eligibility in that league, which is a subtle vote of confidence that he's here to stay in the NHL. He has five goals, 10 assists, 51 shots on net and a minus-6 rating through 34 appearances this season. He was on the top line Friday, which could give him an offensive boost if he maintains that role.

Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Records pair of assists
Nazar notched two assists, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Golden Knights.
Nazar continues to settle into a middle-six role at the NHL level. He ended up with a goal and five helpers over eight contests in February, primarily from a third-line assignment. He could be due to move up to the second line if Nick Foligno (undisclosed) misses time following his early exit Thursday. Nazar now has 14 points, 46 shots on net and a minus-6 rating over 30 appearances this season.

Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Collects two points in win
Nazar scored a goal on four shots and added an assist in Friday's 6-2 win over the Predators.
Nazar opened the scoring at 8:37 of the first period and also helped out on a Ryan Donato tally in the second. This performance ended a four-game point drought for Nazar, who continues to play in a top-six role and on the power play. The 21-year-old center is at four goals, 10 points, 36 shots, 18 hits and a minus-3 rating over 25 outings, which means this will officially count as his rookie year. Nazar will need to continue to play fairly well -- Colton Dach was shipped to AHL Rockford when his performance started to slip, so the Blackhawks have proven they won't keep prospects in the NHL if it doesn't benefit their development.

He's worth a look in all fantasy formats as long as he remains beside Connor Bedard.

Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: First goal a game-winner
Nazar scored the game-winning goal in Wednesday's 3-1 victory over the Avalanche.
The 2022 first-round pick scored his first goal of the season, and just the second of his NHL career, by banging home the rebound on a Colton Dach shot midway through the second period. Nazar has gotten onto the scoresheet in back-to-back games while producing three points in the last seven contests, and he's been seeing consistent shifts on the power play since his mid-December promotion, although typically on the second unit. The 20-year-old center is still learning the ropes at the top level, but he's beginning to flash his upside.

Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Manages helper in loss
Nazar notched an assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Rangers.
In a glimpse to the future, Nazar set up Wyatt Kaiser on the Blackhawks' second goal. The 20-year-old Nazar has a bright future, but he's taking his lumps in a bottom-six role during his first chance at being a full-time NHLer. He has just two helpers to go with 10 shots on net and a minus-5 rating through 11 appearances this season. Hold onto Nazar in dynasty and deep keeper formats, but managers in redraft leagues can likely look elsewhere.

Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Summoned from AHL Rockford
Nazar was recalled from AHL Rockford on Friday, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.
Nazar is a highly regarded prospect, as he was selected 13th overall in the 2022 Draft. The 20-year-old was sixth in AHL scoring before his recall, tallying 11 goals and adding 13 assists in 21 appearances. Nazar will likely start as a middle-six forward, but he definitely has a chance to play on the top line, alongside Connor Bedard. The Blackhawks placed Alec Martinez on injured reserve in a corresponding move.

Blackhawks' Frank Nazar: Two points in preseason finale
Nazar scored a goal on four shots, added an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 6-2 preseason win over the Blues.
Nazar played in the preseason finale alongside most of his AHL Rockford teammates, though it was impressive that he stood out in this contest. The 20-year-old was cut from camp earlier in the week but has some of the highest potential among Blackhawks prospects. It would not be surprising to see him earn a call-up in 2024-25, and he's got the skills to stick in the NHL if everything goes right.
