Flames' Yan Kuznetsov: Pens one-year pact
Kuznetsov secured a one-year, two-way contract with Calgary on Monday.
Kuznetsov made his NHL debut this past season but it was the only game he appeared in for the Flames. With AHL Calgary last year, the Russian blueliner didn't offer much in the way of fantasy upside considering he managed just five goals and eight helpers in 63 regular-season games. While Kuznetsov could see a handful of NHL contests, he is unlikely to be a full-time option this year, making him a non-factor in redraft formats as well as a weak choice for keeper and dynasty leagues.

Flames' Yan Kuznetsov: Reassigned to AHL
Kuznetsov was sent down to AHL Calgary on Sunday.
Kuznetsov continues to bounce between levels as a depth option on the Flames' blue line. The 21-year-old Kuznetsov has played in just one NHL game this season, recording two shots and a blocked shot in 11:58 of ice time. He has two goals and seven points in 31 AHL contests.

Flames' Yan Kuznetsov: Brought back from minors
Kuznetsov was recalled from AHL Calgary on Tuesday.
Kuznetsov's demotion to the minors appears to have been nothing more than a paper transaction with the blueliner set to make his NHL debut against Ottawa on Tuesday, per Wes Gilbertson of the Calgary Sun. In the minors this season, the 21-year-old defenseman has generated two goals and five helpers in 31 contests, so fantasy players probably shouldn't be banking on an offensive outburst from the youngster.
