Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Three helpers in wild loss
Raymond recorded three assists, two of them on the power play, in Thursday's 7-6 shootout loss to the Sabres.
He found the scoresheet in each regulation period, with his final helper setting up David Perron with a minute left in the third and forcing overtime. Raymond has had something of a sophomore slump this season, but over the last 15 games he's racked up two goals and 11 points, including five assists on the power play, and the 21-year-old could be gearing up for a breakout in 2023-24.

Raymond last scored March 8, but he made good on his only shot attempt in this commanding win. While the second-year winger has shown improvement defensively, the Wings have just five games remaining and he's 16 points behind his stellar rookie outpout. Nonetheless, Raymond has been a valuable fantasy option since day one in the NHL, and the future is very bright for the Swede who just turned 21 years old last Tuesday.

Raymond collected two power-play assists in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Bruins.
The 20-year-old winger had only one goal and zero helpers in seven games since returning from a lower-body injury, but Raymond made an impact Sunday by recording his first multi-point performance since Jan. 12. It's been a disappointing sophomore campaign overall for him, and while his future remains bright, Raymond has just 16 goals and 36 points through 58 games in 2022-23.

Red Wings' Lucas Raymond: Slated to return Monday
Raymond (lower body) is likely to be available for Monday's road clash against the Senators, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.
Raymond has missed the past eight games with his injury. As a rookie, the winger appeared in all 82 games, and he was often the talk of the town en route to 23 goals and 34 assists. Coach Derek Lalonde seems quite optimistic about the skilled winger returning for the next contest. "He had a really good skate today," Lalonde said Sunday. "We'll talk to our medical staff to see how he responds from it. But I'd be surprised if he's not available for tomorrow." Fantasy managers counting on Raymond should look out for his eventual activation from injured reserve as the biggest clue that he'll be fit to return.

Raymond (lower body) was activated from injured reserve Monday.
In a corresponding move, Jordan Oesterle (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve. Raymond, who has missed the past eight games, will return to the lineup Monday against Ottawa. Based on the morning skate, he is projected to play alongside Andrew Copp and Robby Fabbri. Raymond has registered 15 goals, 33 points and 87 shots on net in 50 games this season.

Raymond has missed the last seven games, but he's getting close to a return. He took a drop pass from Dylan Larkin and wired a shot from inside the right circle past Ilya Samsonov at 8:48 of the first. Raymond has two straight three-point games this week and he's back on pace to equal his 57-point rookie season. But there's been a big improvement in his game -- he's minus-3 (minus-32 last season overall) and delivering far more on the power play than he did last year. Raymond already has five PPG and 14 PPA; he had five PPG and 18 PPA over 82 games in 2021-22.

Raymond picked up a point in each period Tuesday, assisting on Oskar Sundqvist's and Dylan Larkin's goals while scoring an empty-net goal to ice the game.
