Top Jack Quinn News

  • Sabres' Jack Quinn: Collects pair of points

Quinn scored a goal on three shots and added an assist in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Flyers.

Quinn was able to snap an eight-game goal drought before the end of the season. This was also his first multi-point effort since March 30 versus the Capitals. The 23-year-old set career highs in each scoring category Thursday -- he finished the campaign at 15 goals and 24 assists for 39 points, surpassing his 2022-23 totals in each category by one. Quinn added 123 shots on net and a minus-18 rating over 74 appearances. He still needs to work on consistency to solidify his place in the Sabres' top six. He'll be a restricted free agent this summer.

  • Sabres' Jack Quinn: Adds helper in loss

Quinn produced an assist in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Lightning.

Quinn has slowed his pace in April with just three helpers over seven contests this month. He was showing promise in late March with eight points over the last four games of that month, but he remains limited to bottom-six minutes at even strength. Quinn has matched his career high of 37 points from the 2022-23 campaign, earning 14 goals, 23 assists, 119 shots on net and a minus-19 rating over 72 outings this season.

  • Sabres' Jack Quinn: Picks up three points Sunday

Quinn scored a goal, dished out two assists and fired three shots on net in Sunday's 8-5 win over the Capitals.

Quinn's performance Saturday included a primary assist at even strength in the second period before he scored an unassisted goal early in the third period. He capped off his night by assisting Peyton Krebs' empty-net tally with less than 30 seconds remaining in the game. Quinn has been hot offensively with a four-game point streak and back-to-back three-point performances over the weekend. With his performance Sunday, the 23-year-old forward is up to 14 goals, 20 assists and 111 shots on net in 65 games this season. As his play has taken a step up down the stretch with less pressure to perform, Quinn may have sneaky good value for the remainder of the fantasy playoffs in most league formats.

  • Sabres' Jack Quinn: Lights lamp twice in Philly

Quinn scored two goals, one on the power play, and added an assist in Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Flyers.

The Sabres' second line of Quinn, Ryan McLeod and JJ Peterka combined for three goals and eight points on the afternoon to keep the final score somewhat respectable. Quinn has three goals and five points over a modest three-game point streak, and the 23-year-old needs one more goal to tie the career-high 14 he scored in 2022-23.

  • Sabres' Jack Quinn: Tallies in Tuesday's win

Quinn scored a goal on three shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Senators.

Quinn was scratched Saturday versus the Wild for missing a team meeting, but the one-game absence was the extent of his punishment. He's returned to a middle-six role over the last two games, and he was able to snap a 13-game goal drought with a tally late in the first period Tuesday. The 23-year-old forward has had a rocky year with 11 goals, 27 points, 105 shots on net and a minus-21 rating over 62 appearances, though he has a career-best 12 power-play points. Still, it's well behind his rookie-year pace of 37 points in 75 contests.

  • Sabres' Jack Quinn: Scratched for disciplinary reasons

Quinn was kept out of Saturday's 4-1 loss to Minnesota for disciplinary reasons, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.

Quinn missed the team's morning meeting. The 23-year-old will presumably draw back into the lineup Sunday in Winnipeg, especially after Sam Lafferty suffered a groin injury in Saturday's defeat. Buffalo's only other healthy forward is Brett Murray. The 23-year-old Quinn has 10 goals and 26 points in 60 outings in 2024-25.

  • Sabres' Jack Quinn: Dishes two helpers in win

Quinn tallied two power-play assists in Monday's 3-2 overtime win against the Bruins.

Both of Quinn's helpers were with a man advantage with the first of his two being a primary assist. The 23-year-old forward has 16 assists, 26 points and 102 shots on net in 59 games this season. Quinn's fourth campaign in the NHL still has the potential to be his best, especially after ending a five-game point drought Monday. He has six points in his last 12 games and may need a big performance or two to catch his career high in points of 37 from the 2022-23 campaign. Quinn's main value in fantasy is in deeper leagues due to his steady power-play time.

Quinn (illness) will be available for Saturday's road game against the Panthers, according to Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News.

  • Sabres' Jack Quinn: Game-time decision Saturday

Quinn (illness) will be a game-time decision Saturday in Florida, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.

Quinn only played four shifts Thursday in Tampa Bay before leaving the contest. He has 10 goals and 24 points this season, including 10 points on the power play. With Quinn and Jordan Greenway (illness) question marks for Saturday's game, Isak Rosen and Josh Dunne could enter the lineup.

  • Sabres' Jack Quinn: Exits game due to illness

Quinn won't complete Thursday's game against Tampa Bay due to an illness.

Quinn logged just 2:25 over four shifts before exiting the match. He has 10 goals and 24 points in 54 appearances in 2024-25. If Quinn can't play Saturday versus Florida, then Buffalo might need to recall a forward or dress seven defensemen.

  • Sabres' Jack Quinn: Scores in blowout win

Quinn scored a goal on two shots, added two hits and went plus-2 in Saturday's 8-2 win over the Rangers.

Quinn ended an eight-game goal drought with the opening tally just 1:46 into the game, sparking a five-goal first period for the Sabres. The 23-year-old forward has often been on the third line lately, which has limited his impact on offense. For the season, he's now at 10 goals, 21 points, 87 shots on net, 31 hits and a minus-15 rating across 48 appearances.

  • Sabres' Jack Quinn: Slides power-play helper

Quinn notched a power-play assist, three shots on goal and two hits in Tuesday's 7-2 win over the Bruins.

Quinn ended a three-game slump with the helper. He has four goals and two assists over 12 outings in January while filling a middle-six role. It's been a mostly underwhelming year for Quinn, who has nine goals and 10 assists over 43 appearances, matching his output from 27 contests in 2023-24. He's added 77 shots on net, 24 hits and a minus-16 rating in 2024-25.

  • Sabres' Jack Quinn: Deposits goal Monday

Quinn scored a goal on two shots in Monday's 6-4 loss to the Kraken.

Quinn has four goals over his last five games, including one on the power play. The 23-year-old forward is up to 18 points, 69 shots on net and a minus-14 rating through 39 appearances. Quinn is seeing middle-six minutes and steady power-play time, so he can be a useful depth forward in fantasy formats that focus on offense.

  • Sabres' Jack Quinn: Three goals in last two games

Quinn scored a goal Saturday in a 6-2 loss to Seattle.

It came on the power play, and it extended his goal streak to two games and three snipes. Quinn has struggled to take a big step forward this season, but that's likely a function of the struggles the entire team has felt and not an indicator of his ability. Quinn has 17 points (eight goals, nine assists) and 64 shots in 36 games. As a rookie in 2022-23, he posted 14 goals and 23 points in 75 games.

  • Sabres' Jack Quinn: Lights lamp twice in win

Quinn scored two goals, one the game-winner, in Thursday's 4-0 victory over the Senators.

The 23-year-old gave the Sabres a 2-0 lead with two tallies three minutes apart midway through the first period, and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen did the rest. Quinn has been running hot and cold since returning from a lower-body injury in mid-December -- over his last 11 appearances, he's got five multi-point performances but also five goose eggs. That's still resulted in six goals and 11 points during that span, including one goal and four helpers on the power play.

  • Sabres' Jack Quinn: Two apples in victory

Quinn posted two power-play helpers in Sunday's 4-2 win over St. Louis.

Quinn produced a secondary helper on Tage Thompson's goal in the first period, and he set up Jason Zucker's game-winning marker at 10:30 of the final frame. Quinn has recorded three consecutive two-point outings, accumulating two goals and four assists during that stretch. The 23-year-old has contributed four goals and four assists across his last six appearances after being a healthy scratch in five straight games between Dec. 5-14. Quinn has likely solidified his spot in the lineup as a result, and on the season, he's at five goals and 13 points through 30 outings.

  • Sabres' Jack Quinn: Shines in win over Chicago

Quinn recorded a goal and an assist in Friday's 6-2 win over the Blackhawks.

Quinn recorded a goal and an assist for the second game in a row, and he's notched multi-point efforts in three of his last five outings. He's scored four of his five goals this season in that span, so there's no doubt the 23-year-old playmaker is going through his most productive stretch of the 2024-25 campaign.

  • Sabres' Jack Quinn: Scores, assists in win

Quinn scored an even-strength goal and added a power-play assist in Monday's 7-1 win over the Islanders.

The 23-year-old winger scored Buffalo's fifth goal with a wrister late in the second period, and he previously participated in the build-up of Jason Zucker's power-play goal in the same frame. This was Quinn's third multi-point game of the season, but two of those have come over his last four appearances. That said, the lack of consistency on a game-to-game basis limits his upside a bit even if he holds a top-six role.

  • Sabres' Jack Quinn: Scores twice Sunday

Quinn scored two goals, including one on the power play, in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Maple Leafs.

Quinn stepped on the ice for the first time since logging 10:23 of ice time in a 5-4 loss to the Avalanche on Dec. 3, but he made the most of his playing time in this one. As good as he looked Sunday, though, the 23-year-old isn't expected to be a major fantasy contributor until his playing time stabilizes. He has three goals and seven points across 25 appearances.

  • Sabres' Jack Quinn: Assists on game-winner

Quinn logged a power-play assist and three shots on goal in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blues.

Quinn saw a season-high 19:04 of ice time in the Sabres' comeback win, and he helped out on Rasmus Dahlin's tally in overtime. With three helpers over the last four games, Quinn is starting to find his way on offense. He has a long way to go -- the 23-year-old forward is at a meager five points with 25 shots on net, 10 hits and a minus-5 rating over 16 contests, and he's been in a second-line role for much of the campaign.
